General Your favourite ever warrior?

Thought this could be a fun topic during a quiet time for the NRL.

Who is your favourite player to play for the warriors in your time watching.

For me I can’t split two players
SJ and Iafeta Paleaaesins.

If I had to pick just one it’s Iafeta. I’m confident in saying I would try and tackle anyone who has ever played in the NRL. I played premier grade rugby in Christchurch. But I’m not afraid to admit that I’m stepping out of the way of Paleaaesina coming off the back fence. Nothing as a fan got me more excited than seeing him run like he did. He was truly scary and I would shit my pants if he was running at me.

Who is it for you?

Steve Price for me.
Not sure what it was but he just stood out for his competitive nature.
Everything from his late footwork and post metre yardage to his efforts on charge downs and kick pressure.
I think it was the Aussie no nonsense professional attitude which he backed up every week on the field.
He embraced the kiwi culture and loved it here.
2nd would be AFB.
Price for me for a different reason.

Said it before but I really got into the Warriors when he was on radio sport every week. An insight and professionalism you didn’t see at the time. Great ambassador for the sport on and off the field.

Going back further - Hitro Okesene!

Recently - I thrive on the gun juniors and watching them develop. Katoa then Laiatuau now Halasima

Was a fan of Ali and Price for different reasons

Id have to go me old mate Aaron Whittaker. Caught up with him last week and he gave my son a warriors bag and basketball shirt (he works for dynasty now) one of the most generous guy's u could ever meet.
The reason I started following the warriors though (was a panthers fan) was they signed whetu taewa who was one of my heros growing up.
Of the more famous guys it would be..
forward= sam rapira- what a weapon- his body just couldn't sustain his playing style in the end but he would be the perfect prop in the modern game with his mobility.
back= Shaun Johnson- just a rare talent the likes of which we're unlikely to see again anytime soon.

SJ

That guy gave us some amazing memories, over a long period of time, and his storyline was like a fairy tale

It used to be Ali Lauititi, but his time was brief

SJ delivered for a long period of time and his early immaturity, and returning a man, was relatable

Some of his plays were simply magical. We have been fortunate to have been treated to watching him give 💯 to our team

Had quite a few favorite players over the years but my favourite warrior isn't one of them. I'm going with Daniel Anderson. Showed for the first time what the club could be. Focused on defence first and earned our right to attack. His tenure didn't end well but our first finals appearance, three successive finals appearances, a minor premiership and our first Grand final appearance with a record of 51 wins, 2 draws, and 39 losses in 92 games speaks for itself. Not to mention the players that debuted and developed under his coaching.

Really hard just to pick one. Loved watching Steve Price, Ali Lauiti'iti was just such a special player, Mannering just super consistent often in shit team. I also loved watching Wade McKinnon especially after that try against Penrith. Probably would pick Ali as my favourite though.

Wade Mckinnons 07 season was not as good as Haynes 09 but it reminds me of it. He was unbelievable that year.
Imagine if he never got that knee injury.
He could’ve been anything.
