What isn't true?

Oprah definitely said it. I have seen the clips posted in different videos covering the election. She was at one of the rallies saying they can't sit this one out as they may not be able to vote again.

The celebrity endorsement probably have a place to an extent. The problem is it is getting over the top. We also hear from them a lot more now which doesn't help especially when they have out there takes on life. The Avengers one was particularly cringe worthy.

My wife is also in marketing. It would be a case of is the person just endorsing you. Or they going to open their mouth and be a liability?
Does anyone actually want to listen to Oprah? She's nothing but Hollywood scum. Hopefully we see some people getting exposed under Trump

They like NZ because they see us as more left than the Aussies.

The more left you go the more you go though, the more your economy gets into trouble… 🤣
Australia has a government in that’s probably regarded as left in any way and now one of the few places in the world. Although I don’t buy into this left and right bullshit and don’t think most fit neatly into one package

I was talking to my wife, who's in marketing, about this. She was adamant this wasn't true, but I wondered if celeb endorsements have become kind of a curse.

Think about it.

1) There's a huge anti rich sentiment
2) There's a popular perception of guilt by association with criminal celebs like PDiddy and Epstein.
3) Celebs are generally considered out of touch with the common 'struggle'. (See 'imagine' celeb cover during lockdowns)

I dunno if I just missed it, but I really didn't hear about many of Trump endorsements other than Rogan.
It was sickening watching her parade Beyonce and the Diddy crew onstage. Mind you they elected Epstein's literal wingman lol. You's got what yous wanted -SJ

Shoulda had Mr Rick Astley going for President.
He'd never give you up, let you down, run around, desert you, make you cry, say goodbye, tell a lie, hurt you...

Politics is really about who can tell the most appealing bullshit. If it was about truth, you'd see billboards like:
"Vote For ME! I Won't Make A Damn's Worth Of Difference To Your Future, But I Want The Fucking Money And Prestige Of Being Prime Minister/President/Whatever!"
"Vote for Me And I'll Promise You Passionate Love, But When We're About To Do The Deed, I'll Suddenly Get A BITCH Of A Migraine That Will Last The Whole Electoral Term!"
"Yes, I Do What My Financial Backers Want And Screw Everyone Else!, Same As Every Other Party/Politician! DUH!!"
"I Know You'll Believe Bullshit That Fits Your Preconceived Beliefs And Ideas, So That's What I'll GIVE YA!"
