General Your 2025 team

NZWarriors.com

Halves viewed as our achilles heel. Sounds like there’s not a view of any of our halves being suited to one another
The problem is they and everyone else is expecting a halves combo to come in and lift a team that has horrible numbers.

Barnett 11 runs 88m (being moved killed his prop play)
Capewell 6 runs 39m 9 mt
Marata 8 runs 63m

People ragging on Ford but at least he went 12 runs for 103m. JT in his prime would struggle to get productive numbers with a supporting cast like that.

Mate, to defend the team a bit I thought the Raiders were offside all game and in our face as we caught the ball.

Ref was too scared to call it at the premier Vegas showpiece so we paid.

Meh as someone else posted, teams take on the “qualities” of their coach. Well mate we are soft and weak and have been for a while now.
We didn’t do too bad not last season but the one before. Has probably come as a curse for Webster now over achieving in his first year and now expectations are high with the bandwagon followers slowly dispersing. Makes you consider just what level SJ played at in 2023 and how disgraceful that he wasn’t awarded dally m that season

The run meters weren't the problem in my opinion. The effectiveness and intensity of the runs is an issue. As a comparison our combined forward run meters including hooker and the bench were 773m out of a total of 1565 against the Raiders. Against the Panthers in magic round last year it was 713m out of a total of 1506. *based on NRL.COM stats

Main Issues (but not limited to this):
Ineffective second row that doesn't threaten with ball in hand and in this game was defensively weak
Poor use of our forward youth on the bench to provide impact
CNK having arguably his worst game in a Warriors game
A conservative and ineffective gameplan
CHT probably played to his ceiling and Metcalf was caught in the headlights which lead to a very poorly organised team - even on the backfoot you can organise.
