Who’s the top second rower for your Warriors 2025 team?

And who do we have fond memories of in the second row!

I ran this same poll competition several years ago during Covid around 2021.

AFB and Tohu weren’t in the forum team at that time (for Wiki? and Campion).

I wonder if in another few years if Leka (or another junior) will command one of these spots!

If I was really picking a team to play I’d have mannering at center just because we haven’t had the same depth there as in the backrow- he’s actually one of our most capped centers with 66 games there but for the purpose of this exercise juju and Ali are automatic selections in the second row.
Probably the easiest position to choose tbh.

I went Ali and Superman as that's a mean combo but SK was probably better the SM in his prime, although different styles

Kearney busted his backside every time he played. In an average team.
Ali is naturally first pick a unique talent.
I can really split Simon and Mooks but I went Mooks

All of these best positional guys sadly never played together. I would trade almost anything for a premiership.

Then the whole team will be my choice

2nd rowers though.....

Best hit.....Guttenbeil offside Vs roosters to stand up for our little winger.

Best player all round..... Ali as well. So different to the others because of his ball playing skills. So good to watch.

But yeah it's stink to have had amazing players in ratsarse teams over the years

Ali for sure and Tohu.

Case can definitely be made for Tohu as a second rower having won the Daly M second rower in 2020.

However he player 117 games for the Warriors and 70 at Lock so in the interests of simplicity I have players in the main position for the club or else we will end up with Wiki in the centres sort of stuff…

I felt he was a better second rower overall as well but that was mainly from his Storm career.

Yeah if we can only have 2 then Ali and Simon. But if it was a match situation then id have Kearney starting and Ali off the bench.

Easy to forget Kearney was a great offloader as well, plus formed a great combination with Stace. Defensively was strong too whereas much love to Ali, but he was a bit of a shirt grabber.

Had to go Ali. Still remember that Broncos game with the back pass to Jones for Cleary to score. Just mad skills. Kearney is very underrated as well. Likely his coaching stint has impacted him getting more votes.

When I saw this list I wondered if Sonny Fai had a long career with us if he would be on it. Probably very likely but it just wasn't to be.

In my opinion Kearney comfortably ahead of Mannering.
