I personally think he can legitimately play El Mazri in his starting 13 and get kudos for it as my understanding is that he was the greatest goal kicker of all time.

The rules state "Bids are final unless you immediately change your mind within five minutes before anyone else posts."
As this is a silent auction and no one is relying on your bids for their bidding decisions, I will allow you to modify your bids if you wish to, just do so quickly if you can as there is some juggling and processing at my end.

I have already filled a lot of spaces and there will be too much demand for the elites. I've put in a token $100k bid to stay out of Wrighty's bad books and not have to use my Green Card.
@Wrighty - if you fill your squad or use all your cap before the end of the contest you just sit out the rest of the game, is that correct? Or do you need to have $100,000 left all the time and bid each round?

I was wondering if my token $100,000 might sneak in because no one could decide how much to bid on him and decided not to. You only need to go to $101,000 He's heavily overrated anyway
Yeah I spent up big on lewis and inglis but it does handicap u a bit.
Also got a bit carried away in the 1st round- I put in for cobbo and hammer (similar players) hoping to get 1 of them and same with nikora and fafita but ended up with all 4 haha

You sit out the rest of the game as soon as you hit 22 players or spend all your cap. Or specifically once you no longer have $100K available your war chest is deemed spent and you may not bid. I am anticipating someone saying "but what about if I chase black sheep picks only?" the answer is no as you don't have enough to bid on them.
Another question - what happens if I have $50K left and am round master in round 19 - can't I sue my bonus $400K to bid? No that $400K is subtracted from your costs of bidding at the end of the round and you don't have anything to spend to participate in the round.

3 minutes of highlights and its all people talking about him because they couldn't find anything decent to put in. The most boring player ever. Been carried by good teams his whole career. Why would you even bid on this guy?

What I'm hearing, and this is on good authority, is that there is a financial benefactor in Tauranga that is willing to back the bid for Cameron Smith. He is apparently a businessman who is obviously very successful, a bit of a Wiz in the commercial world. This bid could have massive ramifications for the game, what it means for future contracts and how salary caps are managed.
Should probably check people aren’t bidding on more players than they have room for either wrighty- I say that because I almost done it right then but caught myself…
