Gameday Witzer Pre-Season challenge Dolphins vs Warriors

TB really stepping it up today. The short passing game that he has with Egan is looking very crisp. Gannon clearly read the thread on here last week. Might not be the biggest physical specimen on our books but he offers something in attack. Awesome work for the 2nd try.

I have an uneasy feeling Jacko is going to get rubbed out for a few weeks for that. Could easily be construed as a hip drop and I think he has a bit of a record with the judiciary. I would take Capes off now for the rest of the game. As for Ali, I'm not convinced he is fully fit. Some of his attempts on D have not been NRL standard. I think he gets the blame for that 2nd Phins try and he is making DWZ jam twice as hard imo.

Ali looking a little lazy a few times tonight, hoped he had turned a corner last week
I don’t think that you are alone there. Appearance of being lazy previously has been a common theme. It’s not
Ike there is anyone that they can out in instead of him either.

On the Phins- this is why I don't get why some have them in the top 4. Sure, they had the best attack in the comp last year. But NRL isn't touch footy. Their defense last year and even in their last trial against the tits and the first half here has very mid. We don't have either of our starting middles and we lost Ford for a quarter of the first half and they have pretty much their full strength pack out there. Yet I'd say we've had the clear edge in the middle so far. They are an edge 8 team at best again this year imo.

Same. Work horse starts. Then bring on our weapon when the opposition is tiring.

Towards the end of last season I thought Boyd started to unleash Leka on the edge, so id love to see that continue to happen with Leka off the bench against a tiring, retreating defence.

Do we take Boyd off now? I've seen everything I need to, he's looked good and id only keep him on if you think he needs more reps (surely he's had enough over the last 2 weeks).
