That wanker came into a meeting with a list of grievances about Benji (most likely trying to push for an early release).
Not sure if they're allowed to but if it got real bad I would just pay him his contract to sit at home and not even allowed to attend training citing the fact it's disrupting team harmony (if it gets to that stage).

It would be cool if all of the clubs decided not to deal with Moses. But we know the clubs wouldn't band together it will be for their own self interest.

They would know even with the Tigers saying no to a release it is unlikely that will continue for 18 months. So Moses and Galvin will eventually get what they want being able to move on.

Galvin's statement about giving the club time is more to halt the negative attention. They could have easily sat on the offer or some other way to push out time if he was going to see out his contract.

Seen talk of his mental well being raised by the RLPA and they could use posts from his team mates to push their case for a release. I get the fallout and media attention would be tough. Also seeing your team mates pissed off. His father and manager should have seen it coming. Even Galvin should have seen it coming. This is self inflicted.

It screams of them want a release. Interesting that Clint Newton and Moses are mates as well. Found this article interesting and may give context to what is happening. Is from Kent though lol.

A work mate mentioned that to me today.

Kent hasn't been too bad since he came back. Humbled a bit. Needs to stay off the drink and away from plant life.

Newton dropped the ball quite a lot during covid. Often was pushing issues too late.

I agree but Issac Moses is in thick with a couple of clubs and club coaches. Manly, Eels and pretty sure Dragons as well. Roosters and Wahs both said a while back that they won’t deal with him anymore due to carnage he creates within a playing group

RLPA wont allow that

Unfortunately the morally bankrupt Moses has an unlikely ally in the current strength of the RLPA. It allows him to do whatever he wants to agitate (and get) a release for his players. Galvin should have to bide his time in reserve grade rather than ditch his team on his terms. The RLPA gives him (imho) power in regard to restraint of trade/mental health. It is not the way the system should work and should only be able to be used if a player is found to legitimately victimised by a club.

The biggest issue I have with all of this is the balancing clubs do with their cap. Good strategic planning is completely undone by the RLPA creating a pathway for players to move mid season. Contracts should only be allowed to be terminated at seasons end if there isn't mutual consent as far as I'm concerned. If Galvin really wants out, then 6 months isn't long to wait in his footy career and he can do that in reserve grade if he wants to sulk/or if the club wants to invest in its new future. Galvin and another club should not get an advantage whilst giving the Tigers a disadvantage. The systems broken at the moment and the RLPA has too much power. All that is doing is giving dodgy managers like Moses a licence to fuck over clubs who are likely to be already facing issues in the bottom half of the table.

Players carrying on wanting the perks of being an employee, a contractor, a free agent and an entertainer, with none of the downsides of any.

Forget who mentioned it on NRL360 last night, but what about publicly airing basically "I think Benji Marshall's a shit coach."? Isn't that bullying behaviour?

And who leaked Turuva's Instagram ?

I agree with BA: Why couldn't Moses and Galvin simply say "Look, this is too much to think about and I'd rather concentrate on helping the Tigers get to the Finals. Can we talk once the season's done?"?

Things would be better if it was more like the EPL with Transfer Windows. Stil isn't perfect, but avoids the "I'm signed with Team B from the season after next but I'll play for Team A next season and I'll give everything. I pinky promise." weirdness...
