Aside from Api and May, I can’t think of any players I’d trade with them

There was a game against a depleted souths outfit few years ago where basically the same thing happened - we met their aggressive forwards and we folded like some c&nt being folded by Kane Evans

Hopefully an early lesson for us that nothing is guaranteed in the NRL

Definitely we were flat.

short turnaround + humidity last week could have been a factor?

Probably didn't help. All 3 of our games have been in wet/humid/sapping conditions.

Complacency for sure contributed, even if it happened during the game rather than before.

Defence usually gives an indication of attitude and we missed a lot of tackles.

Imagine having three great outcomes in a row then being expected to pick against our guys. I'll never know in advance but I don't regret picking us by lots. I'm a gun at being wrong

Most normies would be 100x more confident in real life TBH.

Could easily stir up “dropping Ali and find out” argument and there would be 10 pages about it 😂 I thought CNK at centre was epic minus one bad tackle but don’t know how Webby will respond and do with TT now. Seems to be a habit to lead 10-12:0 against mid teams at home then go to crap after

But actually - something was off tonight. Our intent wasn't there, but that wasn't lacking from our leaders. Perhaps a degree of complacency across the squad? 3 up games needs a down? Not for winners..

Also, Boyd was "fine" but felt like he wasn't playing as composed as he has the prior few weeks. (not blaming him - just saying)

I will have to watch it again, but it feels like the use of our bench didn't really give us any lift or impact. Felt like during the game we were waiting for things to fall our way rather than taking the game by the scruff of the neck.

Tigers were good, and anyone that says they aren't an attacking threat can go back to school.
I feel we had a poor game plan.

If probably take Bula over CNK

I just noticed the final score now. Damn. Could in some way say we got a hiding.
Im worried about next week against Cronulla. They have the potential to score even more points against us. I just hope the good start this year is not a fluke.

Wasn't that impressed with Bula but those new young kids in the backs looked pretty good, aggressive in defence and made Dal and Rog look geriatric.
What happened to Demitiric? And when's Capes back, he'll know what to do.

I commented previously about us dominating possession in our wins and what would we be like against teams who get a more even share of it. We'll, we found out tonight. That was a terrible performance on a number of levels. Conceding that many points at home is really poor.

Comments about the conditions on Friday nights at Mt Smart. Both teams have the same and we have had two Friday night games there already this season. We train there. No excuses.

RTS and DWZ with poor handling errors from kicks and kick returns are a killer. Lot of talk was about targeting the Tigers wingers yet its our vastly experienced ones that coughed it up.

Metcalf severely under done. You don't want to look at his stats on tonight's game. Will need to improve significantly and quickly. I also don't know if you can carry both Metcalf and Boyd defensively. Both arent strong in that department and without CHT we have both edges under pressure instead of just the one.

Nuikore on an edge again. I don't like it at all. Isn't agile enough and doesn't provide enough in attack. Capewell can't come back soon enough.

Too cute with our changes for this game. Can't help but feel the original team that was named would have been better. Webster had made every right move in the three previous games but feels like he had gone backwards in this game somewhat.

Boyd was easily our best. Still racking up the try assists and pretty much was playing a lone hand most of the game. I think CHT can feel very hard done by.
Laban also, for the most part looked good too. He is going to be a weapon in coming years.

I can handle us losing, but not the nature of this one. The Tigers did to us in the last 60 minutes what we have been doing to other teams the last three weeks. And they did it at our home.

The Storm will rip us apart if we play like this over there.

Pretty much just need to flush that one and move on.
how we can spend loads of time in the opposition 20 with no joy, then they get the ball and score a 70 metre try.

I was at the game and at one point with about 15 to go it looked like Healey and Boyd were getting into each other, someone clearly wasn't where they were meant to be. It showed me that they weren't all on the same page tonight.

I thought JFH and Barney tried to lift the team in the last 20 or so by putting on some shots, but with ball in hand we looked absolutely limp. CNK has a big heart and a big motor but his skills as a centre are minimal.

Boyd needs to give the f'ing kicking tee to Metcalf or Pompey, the bloke gets the yips every game!
