This game has been a long time coming. The journey to our maiden premiership starts tonight. It’s like Christmas morning and I am utterly psyched!

We set the tone for the year with how we play in this match. A win is a must as Go Media needs to be impenetrable if we want to be in that top 4. And let’s be honest - to win the title, we need to be in the top 4, ideally top 2. Winning at home is crucial!

Sharks have come in with power, we look like we are going to play with speed. They will be up for this and will want to make a statement against a top 8 side. We need to start well and suck the confidence out of them one hit up at a time. Accuracy, completions, strong d and a ruthless attitude. I’d love to see our mongrel side come out but also, walk a fine line so we take the referee out of the game.

Uncompromising defence, courage and calm relentlessness. Do. Not. Give. Them. Anything.

This year. The off-season has finally finished and the season we have all been looking forward to starts tonight.
