Bunty and Ale earning their spot over Jazz is a good sign.

Last year I would have cringed a little at that bench, but let's see what they come up with first.

With Niukore in that 17 we look formidable.

the only back in their extended bench is Iro - I noticed that too - odd, given Hynes is or was under an injury cloud

I think Lussick has earned his spot with a beast of a preseason! Certainly looked better this year than last. Shame about Niukore. Hopefully it isn’t too bad of an injury. Would have been good to get CNK next week against the Storm.

With Niukore in that 17 we look formidable.

Luke Metcalf has claimed the hotly-contested spot as Shaun Johnson’s partner in the halves for the One New Zealand Warriors’ season-opener against Cronulla Sutherland at Go Media Stadium on Friday night (8.00pm kick-off).

Taine Tuaupiki starts at fullback replacing the unavailable Charnze Nicoll-Klokstad while forward Marata Niukore is also missing, ruled out with a minor foot fracture picked up in the second pre-season trial.

Making his return to the NRL after a two-and-a-half year absence is Roger Tuivasa-Sheck, who’ll line up in the centres for his 112th club appearance.

Of the starting pack used in last year’s preliminary final against Brisbane, the only change is in the second row where Kurt Capewell comes into the second row alongside Jackson Ford.

The interchange bench comprises hooker Freddy Lussick plus middle forwards Tom Ale and Bunty Afoa and utility Dylan Walker.

Daniel Atkinson is a halfback. I'm sure he'll survive the 24hr cut if there's any issues with Hynes. Hiroti is a centre too btw

Happy with Lussick in there, though I would have like Jazz to get just one more crack.

I will also dare to disagree with Webby and say that Pompey at 18 is dumb imo, considering he can play wing and centre, when there is a guy like Chanel that has shown he can cover 5/6 position; 18th man isn’t important, until is is..

No good at all, any type of foot fracture can set you back at least a month, especially on the minor side. Lets hope that's not the case.

Was it Pulu that started 2018 hot and then had a foot issue? that was pretty much him done for the season.

Foot injuries can be super niggly to get right.

Jazz not to be picked when there is no niukore was call, and probably the right one. A lot of hard work fir jazz to do to get back.
