I enjoyed that last try. It was a change to only scoring from within the opposition 20.

Also liked it came off the back of the RTS break. They made the break and move the ball and scored off the next play.

I was hoping DWZ would use his speed to get around the outide. MGT did well with the draw and pass.

Good to get 2 points.

But it was a fairly disappointing performance by a team at home against the worst team in the comp.

There is a huge difference in how we had bodies in motion and everyone playing with intent and speed last year to how it operates right now. Granted some makeshift players in there but its been like that much of the year. We need to have a rethink on how we play and adapt as season goes along. I really dislike our attack.

Yeah. How many times this year did we get back to back weeks with the same 7 backline ?
The first 3 weeks this was the backline. As close to first choice we got, minus CNK, then week 4 we lost Taine. Week 5 we got CNK back but lost DWZ. Week 6 we got DWZ back but lost Metcalf. Kept that backline together till round 10 where we lost Montoya and had Kosi on the wing. Rd 11 we lost SJ, Berry and RTS, Taine and Ali and came in and CNK played 6. Rd 12 we lose CNK, Ali and Taine with DWZ playing fullback, Kosi onto the wing, MGT at centre and CHT to 6. Rd 14 CNK is back as is Berry. Rd 15 SJ back for CHT. Rd 16 we lose Berry and DWZ replaced by Kosi and RTS. Rd 17 we lose SJ again and DWZ comes back. Rd 18 we lose CNK, Montoya and DWZ in game against the dogs. Then last week we lose Taine and Pompey mid game.

She's been a tough slog for the boys.

Just finished watching the replay. Game was a pass, but fuck me.

RTS went off for a lifting tackle that didn't go beyond the horizontal because it could have become dangerous. Which the refs boss came out and said was the correct call

Since then Wahs players have been tipped over the horizontal and tonight actually properly tipped over on to his head. No sin bins.

Really exemplifies that the Wahs have to play by different rules to other teams.

I think the fairly obvious reason we aren't clicking at all this year is lack of consistency in selection. Most of it has been injury forced...can anyone remember the last time we were close to full strength?

That doesn't help but for me we simply do not have an attacking structure in the red zone.

Pretty much without fail our second or third receiver will be running at the corner post or worse when receiving the ball. We've run ourselves out of room all year.

Our attack was broken down in the very first game of the season - "defend the lead runner, jam the sweeper" - that's it, that's the defense needed to shut us down - been happening all year.

What have we done to combat that? Absolutely nothing. For fucks sake we weren't even grubbering for how many games in a row against rushing defenses. Rainbow pass to the winger? forget it.

Never has an NRL team wasted so much field position and possession.

We literally march down field every set. Most of the NRL would sell their soul to achieve what we achieve rolling down field.

For what it's worth, I enjoyed the game.
We created loads of opportunities but couldn't ice them, I only started to get frustrated about 50 minutes in where we started to make unforced errors, lazy penalties and set restarts that brought the Tigers back in.

I dunno, 2 centres who had 4 games between them, probably out worst winger, Roger at the back where he wouldn't have trained in the off season and our 3rd and 4th strong halves....is there any wonder why we struggle to convert our chances? We must have had one of, if not the worst injury tolls this year.

Effort and heart have been there all year, we just haven't been able to execute
