I get your sentiments but this might be our best opportunity to win a championship with Addin and possibly Johnson not part of the roster next year. I think most people on this website are fans of the wahs but might see things differently. I definitely think all the exposure we were getting may have inflated my optimism as many staunch critics were jumping on board. This game highlighted to me that we still have many errors that need to be ironed out before we are going to be a serious threat. In games like this it might not matter so much but in the pressure cooker situations one error could cost us big time. Ford despite running good lines and playing quite well has on average got at least one mistake or a drop ball per game. Roger is not too far behind. I remember Dallin having similar issues a couple of years ago and whatever he did to remove this from his game worked a treat. I think they both offer something particularly Roger it just kills momentum and puts us under pressure.
Every team has a bad day, even the best. Look at what happened to Penrith last week. Every team has had one shocker this year. It was bound to happen to us at some stage. Now that it has happened, it's best to move on and reload. The boys will never play that bad again. The players know it. Webby knows it. We should be grateful that this shocking performance didn't result in a loss.

There was some bang average officiating..obvious knock on from Turbo in first few minutes. Another few missed knock ons and forward passes. Bunker stepping in on some but not others..Touch judges blind to forward passes still when right there. We saw weird rulings on things that are usually never ruled on..Still fun game though

I think both sides have ample reason to be pissed off at the refs for this game. But at the end of the day, both sides had ample opportunity to win the game and didn't take them. For us, if SJ nails his conversion from in front, we win this game and gp is not necessary. If Tohu doesn't drop the ball, SJ has a sitting duck of a field goal attempt in front that he would have certainly nailed. But it was just one of those days where communication was off and execution was lacking. It happens. Time to move on for us. Let's just be grateful that our undefeated streak remains intact.

I'd like to see the Muss do ballet too for some reason

Been done before by NRL coaches including the Warriors eh, a couple of hours in a Ballet studio to get them crying their eyes out about real pain.

Logan Swann was the natural Ballerina undiscovered....all it took was some Tchaikovsky's Swan Lake. Marata would be more of a nutcracker guy.

But it's not a popular training gimmick anymore (probably coz 2 hours is a complete waste of time). But in all seriousness if Marata has weak feet...it would help his weight bearing tremendously.

The disruption rule change really fucks me off, Capewell was completely past Turbo by the time he knocks it on. I get it if Capewell is jumping for the ball, pulls out and doesn't go for the ball but collides with Turbo. But it shouldn't be a penalty when he's going for the ball and pulls out to the side to avoid a collision and there's no direct impact on Turbo.

Your spose to be able to replicate UAP behavior in the air ..like stopping instantaneously then moving in opposite direction to avoid collision.

3 hamstrings in the casualty ward, any advice? Pilate? 🤣

(Seriously though, must be some core/lower back issues blowing out so many hamies this year, unless they all got infected by Metcalf)
I like the Warriors approach. Retraining Metcalf's running style rather than rebuilding the tissue. Prevention rather than cure. Takes a lot longer tho. Everything about how the Warriors approach injury nowadays is amazing.
Someone(s) been hired who is the right person/right time.

Barney is growing on me. He is so underrated given that all the attention on our pack goes to AFB. His work on D is just so unreal. Ran for 173 metres as well. Not the worst option for a bench origin spot for NSW. Won't let anyone down.
Our forwards were unreal, all had to make close to 50 if not 50 tackles each and made great metres on top of that. Takes a fit side to have to tackle for long periods and still have enough in the tank to attack

Ref. A couple of things I noticed yesterday which I was wondering if you could tell us about.

When DCE would kick on the last tackle, it was usually Harris putting pressure on him. He’d run at DCE and, at the last moment, turn his back on DCE and not touch him. While the Manly players seemed to always grab Johnson after he had kicked the ball…. not enough to be called a tackle but enough to stop him following the ball. Is that a legal tactic or only if it’s not deemed hard enough to be a tackle?

The other thing I’d notice is where the ref was setting the defensive line during a dominant tackle when the attacker was being pushed back but before the tackle was completed or he called out “Held”. Is the 10m from where the tackle commenced or from where it had been completed because there was time Manly were pushed backwards 4-5m but the ref didn’t allow the Warriors to move forward so there ended up being 14-15m away from the play the ball? Makes me wonder if pushing an attacker backwards is worth it if the refs going to hold the defensive line that far back.

Not a game we deserved to win, but a game we could have won. I was watching where SJ positioned himself before what would have been a FG attempt and saw him point to where he wanted Harris to do one more hit up. I was thinking… take the shot. He didn’t…. Harris took the ball forward and lost it in the tackle.

why would you go to a yawnion game when you can be part of that? The atmosphere at a wahs game is just so unreal. Have to imagine that the sydney nrl clubs that can't get crowds to games are just jealous beyond belief with what we are creating.

Had a laugh because they were advertising the Moana Pasifika/Chiefs game on the big screen before hand.

On the Manly side the younger brother in the centres blocked us DCE was the usual pain in the ass but how good was Tof Sipley?
When he came off in the second half was when we gained the upper hand
CNK massive he is our best full back.
And we missed Bunty s contribution ditto Jazz getting injured
I was happy we jagged a draw - one point - played with errors and thought in a lot of the game their forwards out pointed us - we dodged a loss I m happy
I said to a mate the same thing about Tof Sipley. He is a huge human and was a menace every time he made a carry. Hes matured into a really solid front rower
