General Warriors NSW Cup 2026

Just watched the game on SKY, shout out to them and NRL for broadcasting NSW Cup games, I really enjoy watching the guys coming through.
That was a top team effort getting the win today and mind blowing how young most of these guys are. The fact that two 17 years olds are in the team compounds that.
Kaylis Faitialofa is a high energy player with great leg speed, I hope we can hold on to him.
I was impressed with the guys who came off the bench, Bishop Neal needs no more superlatives, Sikuvea is a weapon, Rodney Tuipolotu-Vea was awesome, and Auloa was crafty. Our halves are maturing , and if Hansen can dig into the line a bit more he will be a dangerous player.
Top effort and exciting times for the club if this development can continue to mature.

Those boys were cooking yesterday on attack. Threats all over the park!

I thought EIT is way to good for cup when I watched the second half of this game. Not sure if we will be able to keep him as he should be in FG.
I hadn’t watched much nsw cup this year and was surprised how Fatialofa is looking bigger and think between the pair of them that we’ve got some big decisions to make. Bishop Neal will be a priority and could be snapping right at their heels too

Posters on here often comment that he struggles with the physicality of the game at times. Is that being a bit harsh on him, you reckon?

Is anyone here impressed by mellars? I think he's not far away! He looks like a real competitor, good vibes about him.
I think he is not even close.

Maybe two seasons away. Not surprising given league is not his first game.

Am I impressed? short answer yes. It is pretty obvious his rebounding background makes him a natural competitor for the ball in the air - he leaps at anything like a basketballer, which looks a bit rough at times (obviously in B'ball letting a rebound off the glass hit the floor is not a problem/does not result in turn over - in league the 'rebound' skills are wayyy more refined for that all important clean take in a dirty environment with less protection from fouls).

I think those instincts of his will only serve him more over time, I just think he is way to young and raw for Fg atm.

I'd quite like to see the Warriors run Bishop Neal for eighty minutes in cup a time or two this season, for no other reason than to build his engine and lean muscle to body fat ratio and the mental side.

Then talk about a fg debut.

I am as excited as the next guy, but cautious, he is a big unit, the risk of incomplete development through rushing big impact types into fg is a pathway to career wrecking that the Warriors of old have tread more than most clubs.

Don't do it.

Webster seems the master at developing young talent and taking the cautious approach i think we'll be just fine with Bishops integration.

No it’s not harsh at all. He struggles big time. He’s tall but skinny, and will fill out. Everyone saying he’s has the Coates build but Coates has 8-10kg on him. With a big off season next year, he might be in a better position. I still think he’s 12-18 months away. Great finisher and works hard, but still has work.
