St Thomas' has become a factory of athletes across all codes after doing absolutely nothing on the sporting scene in my high school years of late 90's-early 00's. I coached 7s against them recently (don't think either of the guys you mentioned played) but there's boys who look closer to 25 than 18. One named Xavier Lynch is a really skillful big fellaBishop Neale and Jackson Stewart look like absolute beasts.
Any pictures?New gym facility has been opened for the Future Warriors
Not a Tigers or Panthers level of centre of excellence, but the investment into juniors just keeps taking bigger and bigger steps- You love to see it.
Any pictures?

40 odd players down to a final squad of 30.I think last trial for Harold mats is tomorrow..
Nice. Do you know when squad officially announced? Apparently final testing today and tomorrow, then they go on an extended break.40 odd players down to a final squad of 30.
Judging by what I saw at the trial, some of the younger boys will miss the cut. Bishop wasn't on the field much so he'll be in the 30 already.
I was told that the earlier trial was for non Auckland players and this final one included the Auckland players. Some boys really stood out, the 13 in the white team was a beast. I don't know that the jersey numbers matched actual playing positions but this kid tore the middle of the field up.
The heat was be a good test of how boys will handle the dry and hot conditions in Sydney.
No sorry. My info is mostly second hand.Nice. Do you know when squad officially announced? Apparently final testing today and tomorrow, then they go on an extended break.
The Matts boys had a hit out against a Tongan u18s team yesterday I think.Does anyone know when warm up games for Harold Matt's and SGBall begin?
The draw is out and both teams play away for the first 4 games in Feb and are at Pukekohe for the 5 games in March. Matts have a bye in the 2nd round though. They face the same club in every game too. Probably saves money.Does anyone know when warm up games for Harold Matt's and SGBall begin?
I taught Hiraka at intermediate school - very cool kid. He was one of two boys in that class with the skills you could see was almost certainly going to be a professional sportsman at 12. The other was Te Maia Huirama the 6 for Waikato (U16s I think?) Both very slick touch players I would love to see them succeed.Hiraka Waitai-Haenga has been the Ham Boys 1st XV second five for the last few seasons and still has one more year I think.
Hasn't played too much league but defintely a prospect, his ball-playing touch & union skills would be better suited at 6 long term, but easier to learn the game at centre.
Are the streamers working for the bunnies? I thought they were just a couple of guys doing it off their own back with the Bunnies blessing.I know it's been spoken about before. It would be good if the club got behind the junior teams and have someone follow them around streaming the games. The bunnies do it and stream the reserve grade teams on Facebook. Just a thought
