General Warriors Injury Thread 2026

we still can. Rog will still hold massive value off field for this group. so sad for him but we can cope. need a bit of injury luck at somestage though ffs. webby can only work magic for so long
Everyone in the top 30 get a ring or only those who take the field? Like does 18th man?

Nothing to do with funding cuts, all these players go private. Delayed scan is normally due to inflammation at the injury site. They wait for the inflammation to go down so they get a better view.
That is not how MRI scans work. Swelling provides contrast to the injury. It helps.

And that has nothing to do with Tanah waiting for an Op.

And the Health care system in simple terms works like this: If the public service is overloaded (underfunding) the urgent cases in public get sent to Private for urgent scans, meaning people like Tanah and Roger have a delay.

Where’s the evidence that swelling helps the contrast? If I’m proved wrong then fair play, but swelling is odema which usually masks any damage. But willing to be proved wrong.

Imagine NRL players lining up in ED for scans :ROFLMAO:

Berry is due back this week? I'd assume if we were to have another injury in the next couple weeks, Leka will be moved to fill the hole. No real coms on CNK yet, but he's another who could potentially fill a hole.

Any other team getting 2 ACL's in 2 weeks to your top halfback and centre would be written off for the top spot.

The Ligaments are dark on an MRI.
Inflammation appears brighter, so signs of brighter contrast interrupting the Ligament means there is an injury to the ACL.

Why not give Linnane a crack
Having only seen the highlights but seems to be carving in cup

You mean like PJ Marsh with his neck? or Elise Katoa with his head injury? I take it you mean walking up to the front desk eh. That could happen too. Not everything can wait for Private.

If it is serious you go to ED bro. But you go direct from the Ambulance bay to the Assessment unit. Private is not a twenty four hour operating (as in theaters) emergency service, the do elective surgery.

They should change the whole strength and conditioning team and trial if we still get 4x ACLs in 12 months, this is derailing our premiership window. Can't get worse than another 4x in 12 months

You're right about the MRI scans Sup. But on the operation for Boyd, it's very normal for ACL surgery not to happen so soon after the injury. Surgeons prefer the swelling and inflammation to settle first and want the knee moving properly again before operating, otherwise the risk of long-term stiffness and scar tissue increases. Tannah would be going through a short prehab phase now with the goal to reduce swelling, regain range of motion and get the quad firing properly again. That can easily take 2-4 weeks.
