Sorry the discussion is beneath you but I’m struggling to understand why in a recruitment discussion thread that people get so triggered by the mention. Are we still in the self loathing Warrior fan stage where nothing good happens to us is the mantra. Fuck I can’t understand why we wouldn’t be chasing the best player in the league, especially with so many factors that have a connection to the club

It is only when it goes as far as getting someones partner a football contract in Auckland that it starts too seem to outlandish to consider a discussion. I am trying to imagine how that conversation between Cam George and the CEO of Auckland FC would look? Hi mate, can you sign someone so we can sign someone?

Imagine that shoe on the other foot, Hi Cam, it's AFC here, can you sign an NRL player so we can sign his partner?

Imagine the reaction around here if we did something like that.

Sakai did just fall on the lap of AFC out of nowhere though so when you have a power couple considering to play marquee for both AKL teams.....it's not like Cam is asking AFC to sign some chick that couldn't make the local soccer clubs

Do you not know the reason we ended up signing SJ back for 2022 was because his Netballer Wive's club requested we sign him, to keep his wife in New Zealand
