Don’t mind Metcalf leaving anymore.
Unless he was happy to stay as a fullback.

What I would like to see now is, get a player in return, Either a gun quick Centre or Pasifiki-Tonga.
Re-sign te-Maire, and Lock up Cleary, Linnane and Thompson

I honestly cannot think of too many players we need. A star fullback would be it for me or to a lesser degree a line denting prop (I would want them with NZ roots too - eg Mason Barber). Isn't it crazy that we use to be excited about every NRL player or even journeyman coming to the Wahs. Our depth is excellent, and even the move to clear out our NSW Cup team to develop the new crop is very astute.

We give the 500 things to look into

And 499 of those things are complete crap.

Honestly we are probably in a surprisingly good position to entice them back here, our coach is literally developing their youngest son and they get a chance to win a premiership with a Cleary/Cleary halves combo while mom and dad chills with a consult role and relax for a few years and catch up with old friends

Honestly, and I say this with a large amount of respect to Ivan, Webby, Cappy, George and co. are really on to it.

Don't get me wrong, having Ivan to consult with would definitely have benefit, but it doesn't feel like it would have the same impact as it would have had two years ago.

It seems like the player positions that need to be elevated have been elevated through recruitment, or development.

To me, it feels like we're on the right track to be a powerhouse as it is.

Prediction - Ivan and Nathan join the Wahs for 2028

Nathan to play 7
Jet to play 6

The lure of trying to by apart of the first premiership for the wahs will be what gets them there. And by 2030 they’ll win their first comp.

I like this prediction on the sharks forum

I think he’d still be valuable asset for playoffs and winning it, or how to defend it for like 4 years in a row 😂 or how to cream penrith 😂 Maybe even review Webby and the coaches to up their game again as needed, Webby sometimes has brain farts too. Just a casual gig while he coaches NSW and maybe I don’t know, Cook Islands?

Im not getting the logic with this Clearys coming to the Warriors fever dream
Seems odd to say but yeah neither - there'd be a pleasing mythic arc to it but in terms of what the club needs and where it's heading the old cargo cult mentality is a dead ... no one's coming to save us, and we don't need saving ... what does become more likely is Jett sticking around longer, as there's now no prospect of his dad coaching him at the top level anywhere. That's a good thing I guess.

Because they're both off contract end of 2027
Ivan has spoken about his fondness for the club, people & country.
Nathan has spoken about a soft spot for the club, was a ball boy who idolised Shaun Johnson etc etc.

Jett is here. Webster is here.

It's not totally outlandish although an outside chance for sure.

I also think we can do it without them. There is enough talent in the juniors without having to form a basketball like “super team”. Yes we would like to add a couple of key pieces to complete the puzzle but I think that can happen without “buying” a premiership
