Does anyone think we might make an offer to Nathan Cleary with him going to market in November
Can't see him ever wanting play against Penrith (even if Chiefs throw 2+ mil tax free at him). Lowkey I think he signs with an English prem union side. Closer to the mrs, still get his mil a year and Wallabies can select from outside of Aus now (who have a massive hole at first five). I think he would get bored in Super League having acheived almost everything in NRL.

Except for the part he could live with his parter who plays for Manchester City and play for a club like Wigan or St Helens who are less than an hour away. There have been long-term whispers about him going to Super League

Cleary probably will be a bust like Benji so better to stick with league, the only half who made it was Matt Rogers and he was fast and big enough to play union FB

I didn’t think players like Luai or JFH would want to play against panthers either. By all accounts he’s after a new challenge and I think we’d be mad not to be inquiring

I know you cant approach players before they're off contract, but with the relationship with Cleary Snr and Webby, and with Jett here surely there would be comes between the teams.

Even with Ivan off contract in 2027, I feel like they'd kinda let us know if the plan was to end up here?

I was interested watching nrl 360 last night where Brent Read was the latest to mention it after Dean Ritchie broke the story he was going to market. They said last night that he could have the pick of any team and he rattled off options. Of all the clubs he mentioned, he never mentioned Warriors which I thought was odd, almost deliberate after Ritchie mentioned last week Warriors as somewhere he could see him going? Also seeing the tear that welled up when Jett mentioned he idolises him in his 200 game build up makes me think he might be keen to mentor and play with Jett on the field?

According to a Nine News article, Tanah Boyd and CHT are at the top of a "hit list" of halves being compiled by the Dragons for next season. Both are currently off-contract after this year. Can't see the Warriors letting this situation stay as is, but if both carry on their good form for the rest of the season they will surely need to have upgraded pay. Can the Warriors afford to have 3 halves on the upper part of the pay scale? Which one would they let go if it had to come to that?

If we win the premiership this year I'd be ok with them both going but it feels like the club are playing medium ball. A few notches below hard ball.

I don’t see CHT leaving and don’t think clubs see him as player that will leave the Warriors, which means he will get resigned on the cheap. Boyd is more likely to leave but he seems like he would prefer to stay after turning down the Cowboys last year.

What I mean is that we can’t offer anything that the Panthers can’t.

Those players left for better money or better opportunities. Or to be closer to home in JFH’s case

True but I also think it’s almost legacy tarnishing to go from potential goat in NRL to then be playing super league.

How much can they even realistically pay him with the marquee player allowance? Some rumours elite players like Jai Field on like 600k. No idea what RTS is on.

Sale Sharks have an aging George Ford as their 10. They could be in play being in Manchester.
