this next contract will be Roger’s last NRL one you would think - he will be trying to maximise term and dollars.

Happy to keep him but wouldn’t pay overs to do so.

Wonder what happened to Japanese Rugby?

There are growing whispers he will return to the Roosters which I actually quite like. And there is obvious need there with Marky Mark leaving and Tupou not getting any younger.

Not many bigger Roger fans than me, always defended him against wild claims of being overrated, because he didn't put up try assists when part of some terrible backlines.

But he would be one of the oldest outside backs in the game next year, currently only Gagai, Tupou and Tedesco are older, and the first two of them should probably hang it up.

As boring as it sounds to have a generic like Grant Anderson instead of him - younger, cheaper, more versatile, easier to mug off if one of the youths jumps up.

The Japanese Yen is terrible right now. Going to Japan to earn a weak currency is probably not so attractive compared to before when it was strong.

Mitch Barnett will be the same age in a few weeks yet people going on about him getting multi year offers…. yet calling RTS over the hill….🤷🏻‍♂️

Extend Roger for 1 year and 2nd year mutual option, and if he starts to Tohu then medical retire him and he can pop up in Japan, or does he still just gets paid outside the cap? One NZ or their buddies can give him more ads here and there for now. I can't see him retiring as a non-warrior TBH

The way he's performing I still feel WW is a downgrade, I want him to be phased out when the next guy feels like an equal or upgrade. Even Dallin's playing really well so far, maybe just release Dallin mid season if someone jumps him and he's about to be Cup bound. I just don't see any outside backs that are screaming for a position right now. Pack is a totally different situ

It's kinda weird WW/GA replacing RTS/DWZ feels like a total downgrade right now, like a year too early, maybe it's the lack of hyphenation

I feel once WW is confirmed then only one out of RTS or DWZ could be retained.
Maybe Anderson takes Berrys spot.

Yeah expect Grant Anderson to sign up for the Warriors. Both Barnett and Anderson managed by same agent - Gavin Orr.

Whilst not thrilled with the signing, if it means he replaces the "depth" we lost with Kosi, MGT, Harper, im all for it. And who knows, our upcoming youngsters may need to see that there is another hardworking challenger for these positions...
Could be the next John Carlaw! I don't think we are giving this kid enough credit. Yes he has to earn a spot and if that doesn't put a rocket up Leiatauas arse then perhaps nothing will.

RTS to me is such an athlete and commited trainer that you add 2 or 3 years to his longevity than other players of similar age.

DWZ will be scrutinised closely and is likely not to be re signed, along with Berry who is like a MASH series. Leaiataua needs to pull finger, but seems to be trending up. It sounds like Niukore may go too. Along with Barnett that clears cap space over a million. There is a probable Boyd upgrade to consider.

I think Warbrick and Anderson are good players, good pick ups if deals are done.
