I texted in a question to Cam George on Sport Nation this morning.
How many spots are available in the top 30, and are EIT / Fatialofa on the top 30 (as those are 2 that there's confusion over) ?

He confirmed we have 28 players.
Then when asked about EIT/Fatialofa he said ahhh I think they're in the development space.

So, probably one of them is the 28th player and one is on a development deal, i don't know?

But definitely 28

Thanks for link @Billyspleen75, it was a good listen.
For me the hot take was the CEO’s meeting recently in Sydney discussed how there will be laser focus with the assistance of the NRL in developing the game in NZ over the next few years and the ambition to have a club comp that rivals QCup/ NSW Cup so players are exposed to a high level of game staying in NZ.
I’m looking forward to how that might look.
It’s certainly leans into a better than even chance of the 20th team being NZ based.

He said they were well covered with Barnett and Fish as well as Marata, Ford, Demetric and Erin - answer was off the top of his head so missed TSS (who I don't rate highly ... YET).

That does not give me hope as all part time props and Barnett will miss the opening 2-3 games. Fish will get injured or suspended throughout the season. too.

I’ve watched more NSW Cup and junior footy than half these ‘experts’ combined and I’ve never heard of this bloke. Not one standout game. This is peak pig-headed, dumb-as-dogshit Aussie journalism.
