More the way he plays the game - can play that ball-playing lock role or lay the platform as a prop kind of middle.

In terms of the height - looks like he was 5'10 two-three years ago. You'd hope he has grown / will grow taller since then.

Also interesting that we let him go a year early too, so clearly not in the club's plans.

We signing 12 year olds now or the photographer is really mean? 😂

I felt we were missing something in the forwards this year - that player who will bend the line with a heavy hit up. Most of our props - Barney, Fish, Ford and Demi are more mobile, agile forwards used to control the speed of the ruck.

Hopefully with Laban and Barney back, and Gannon in the squad for next year we see a few more tangible improvements.
Contract year for Marata too, so we could see him fold some c*nts!

For me Laban’s the man to fold some labia

His size seems like he’d be handy in the middle and keep Fatialofa on an edge? Could you have Laban and Halasima edges with Fatialofa off the bench and EIT middle forward? EIT and Fatialofa’s stats are really similar in nsw cup but Fatialofa seems like he has some strike scoring a heap of tries
I feel like I have seen a few posts like this mentioning EIT's size as if he is a bigger body but he didn't look that big on TV to me and his Warriors profile says 96kg. What am I missing? Is it more his height (6ft 2) and people thinking he will grow into his frame?

Not sure of the pecking order but EIT and Fatialofa are both signed for 2026 and 2027, I wonder does that put them in direct competition as to who is extended past? Was size that I mentioned EIT playing in the middle over Fatialofa, but Laban has more size than EIT so perhaps he could be a candidate? I thought like others that EIT handled his time playing in the middle very well and looked quite at home there. We’ve got a lot of second rowers that look solid, surely Niukore spends the season at prop?

I would say he hasn’t grown at all based on this season.

I just think the size difference makes them completely different players. In the same way Ruben Cotter and Tino are completely different, but play the same lock/prop role

Yeah I thought EIT looked very good in the middle too.

Don’t know much about Gannon but they seem similar in size he and EIT? Seem to fill a similar skill set too with both primarily second rowers but Gannon playing halves and EIT playing centre at times both have a distributing role, but Gannon perhaps more able to play make like a Tohu Harris as a lock with him playing halves at a pinch? Presumably Gannon is viewed as a lock here too? We’ve got some real talent coming through where players like Toby Crosby and Patrick Moimoi have already made way that are regarded highly

Wondering if at this point all of Capewell, Berry, Boyd, CHT, TMM, Niukore, Tuaupiki and RTS won’t be extended past 2026? Are they wanting to see something in 2026 to confirm any one of them is who they want? Are some fielding offers elsewhere?

Shoot Cape can negotiate now can't he?

PS Barney was a second rower and shifted to prop under Webby, Marata's a failed case so far transitioning, kept breaking his foot, Gannon probably shifting to lock after they identified his ballplaying out wide and touted him as a Walker replacement, unless that was just PR for losing Walker, but would be insane to bring another 2nd rower when you have 4 future stars + 2 veterans in those 2-3 positions, discounting they already shifted Demi in.

All of those I listed can negotiate now

Beware of the zero tackle but correct as of December 2 according to them. Not a fan of the team selection with RTS shifting back to centre and hard to imagine that will happen. Interesting they’ve got 3 development players listed in Jett Cleary, Luke Hanson and Caelys Paul Putoko
Doesnt have Kayliss Fatialofa. Also don’t think Motu Pasikala is on a NRL contract.

To be honest i wouldnt be suprised for Laban or EIT to transition to a middle and the other / Fatialofa to fight for the other edge spot.
