Oh well I'm more hyped about Linnane than like all our kiwi junior playmakers lol, Luke has 2 ACLs and triple hammy tears and we're like "please re-sign Luke Skywalker PLEEEEAAAASE!!!"

That's what hype is about, now it's whether the kid can deliver
Let's not forget, Linnane hasn't been overhyped. This is just our forum in the off-season 😆 If it wasn't for this forum I wouldn't have known he existed. Some of us feel certain that CHT will be insufficient to win a GF and want to see more from our 6.

Fact: if Linnane can stay fit, he'd be a greater threat than CHT. I don't think many would debate that.
Another fact: he could never recover, then we 'd be looking at Hansen or Jett.

Net result: It's not a bad position to be in considering, as mentioned above, we got no halves in the pipeline in NZ. If CHT and Linnane fail, I have confidence that Hansen could do a decent job with some assistance from Luke, even if he matures at a slower rate than Cleary. With Cleary it's just a matter of time. He may or may not reach Nathan's caliber (not many have or will, so that wouldn't be a measure of failure), but he's shown enough to signal he has a high ceiling. I saw a couple of runs which looked deadset like Nathan. About 4 dummies, step, step, over the line to win the game in Flegg.

The club set this up well. We're not going to have a halves crisis anytime soon. One of those prospects is going to succeed. I like our odds. It's just a matter of which one will surmount their challenges and come out victor. If 2 or 3 come up trumps, we'll have to choose which one we want to keep. We'd be spoilt for choice.

I ran a line in a Pa Wars game about 10/12 years ago.
What a niggly, slightly grubby and annoying player he was. Not dangerous but someone should have smacked him.
He's a good fulla off the field. Down to earth. Just trying to re-live the good Ole days I think. Ain't we all? Haha.

Offseason boredom levels peaking

If you happen to get bored again & update.
Elia is still U17. Whether or not he remains a half is unknown though after being used in the Second Row for St Thomas' and at Lock for Canterbury.
Hoani-Manuera Kahukiwa, from Christchurch, is already up in Auckland preparing for Matt's so I'd lock him in there amongst their Centre's

I've had a crack at this myself.
Have just gone for what I think Webster will do for first grade selections instead of what I would do
We'll see how close I get on the selections in junior grades.
SG ball will be a deep squad as a lot of those guys will push up to Jersey Flegg once that season starts. The depth for the NSW cup squad will be the Jersey Flegg team.
