This is the thread for dreams, no matter how ludicrousLeft field thought… what if AKP is seen as a fullback
Highly unlikely as defensively and work rate isn’t Webster style but imagine him chiming into the backline![]()
I mean Dugan was a tall, slow, lumbering, physical fullback while Stewart is a shorter, fast, non-physical fullbackChevy is like a slightly better ball playing Josh Dugan. Not sure he's what we need even though he definitely has talent.
Iongi is gonna be a superstar. What he did against us in R26 is like an entre before a 10 course degustation. Judging players off NSW cup stats isnt the greatest stat line to choose…especially when one guy is now a lock in first grade and the other is not.As you mentioned Stewart doesn't have many try assists but he can get across the try line with greater abilities than Iongi has.
Iongi NSW Cup 17 tries in 59 games
Stewart NSW Cup 28 tries in 58 games
I will leave it there. I don't want to pump up his tires any more than that. I don't want to give the impression he is Reece Walsh.
Yeah I don’t think many clubs would turn down Iongi. He is class and is already playing at a very high level.Iongi is gonna be a superstar. The quality of player since the 2 Andrew’s have come to New Zealand has definitely improved. I don’t think we will buying any stars in the coming years. With Leka’s rookie season the club believe they can develop there own stars from within.Im about the make the exact type of post i cringe at when others write them haha.
I feel the team needs some star power. I wish we could open the cheque book and through some overs at a marque player. Depth is great but there seems to be a lack of X factor players in the squad who can turn a game.
Of course these players are thin on the ground and rarely want to come to NZ.
Someone like Tapine would be ideal. (let a man dream)
Also, does anyone else feel the tide is changing a bit as far as players wanting to play for the Warriors? The public perception of the team seems to be changing and rather being a place you go to squeeze one last decent pay cheque. Its a place where you can improve as a player and even have a small shot at a title.
I feel like I’ve heard that a few times over the years. The quality of player since the 2 Andrew’s have come to New Zealand has definitely improved. I don’t think we will buying any stars in the coming years. With Leka’s rookie season the club believe they can develop there own stars from within.
Sounding a bit like Burton could be on the outer over there. He’s been linked to cowboysWill Kennedy is still unsigned for next year.
I also think there could be movement at the dogs when they try and accommodate Galvin and Woods in the halves. Someone from that backline is going. Feel like it will be either Tracey or Burton that get the chop. They also just signed a Sharks gun junior Dykes for FB and have the critta option for FB too via Burton to Centre.
Tracey or Kennedy at FB would be a decent plug for a couple of years.
Would take him in a heartbeat!Sounding a bit like Burton could be on the outer over there. He’s been linked to cowboys
Bit of talk too that he’s holding out for Perth and is asking $1.1 million a seasonWould take him in a heartbeat!
No way is he worth that much to play 6. Still think he’s best in the centresBit of talk too that he’s holding out for Perth and is asking $1.1 million a season
Think Munster is their first choice with Burton secondNo way is he worth that much to play 6. Still think he’s best in the centres
Can we get Reece Walsh back on compassionate grounds? This is the thread for dreams, no matter how ludicrous
