With Linnane taking forever to return maybe he’s hit the ground running and be a secret weapon in the last 9-game stretch? It’s been 16 months and he’s young, Ronaldo is a beast after 7 months. String a few more and someone will be injured he could be next, unless they go with CNK centre part 2

As much as I like CNK i think at the moment TT is locked in at full back and deservedly so. Assuming TT does not get injured where does this leave him.

Is an early release on the cards

I would of thought we would get medical dispensation for RTS and possibly sign another player? I would of gone after that. Timoko maybe? Pompey solid but a bit slow for the game? CNK doesn't want centre, Captain Glass Rocco. Linnane looks an awesome prospect and possibly building towards starting at the back end, but be nice to have another in waiting?

Im no NRL law expert but I thought if you fully lost a player for the season it was possible to apply to get dispensation for a player?

No unfortunately not. You have a squad of 30 plus 6 development players, and you can then select from outside of that group after round 10 (eg your other Cup team members). You still have to remain under the salary cap for the year though

Agreed. There’s also no one on the market at the moment who’s worth approaching at FB. I think CNK’s contract length which expires at the end of next season is perfect, as it gives the young fellas coming through flegg/pathways a full year in cup before he likely leaves.

How far off is Bishop Neal from getting a 15 - 20 spell in the NRL? He is 100% a future premiership piece for this team.

I sense if he was at a club like the Panthers they would debut him this year a bit like they did with young Mclean.

Also is it time to give Brandon Norris some NSW Cup time? I would lock that kid down ASAP. He is QUALITY!!! We need that quality on our roster depth.

Leka played 25 games in the NSW Cup before debuting. So if Bishop Neal plays all the remaining games he would have played 18 games. So he would have to play 7 games next year to get to 25. Which would be around round 8 next year. The problem for Norris is that Harry was promoted from Flegg and there is just not any spots on the wing left if DWZ stays next year. As he is not eligible next year for Flegg

I think Leka would have debuted sooner had he not got injured in a 2024 preseason game then got suspended for 4 matches in his return from injury
