I don't think Ratcliffe is to far away from making a first grade debut in the next few years. I love the potential of him and Olsen.
Problem i have with someone like Mason Barber. Is he is young. Which could force one of our own young pups, Ratcliffe, Olsen or Lemana out of the club to seek further opportunities. Yes, Lemana is playing centre now. But he has the ability to be a great FB as well.

Barber would be a mean acquisition tho.
Yeah I can’t argue with that. You think Tuaupiki fullback until those guys are ready?

Thing is, will CNK be happy playing cup next season as second fiddle? He could easily leave at the end of this season and where screwed for FB depth.
There were rumours in recent times that we were letting him explore options? With rumours of Berry going to union too we could see plenty depart at the end of the season?

You could argue this would be the clubs fault. They always seem to play Doyle as Fullback in NSW cup when he has no chance to play in first grade. Get the younger guys playing fullback in cup. Look at the Hammer 18 when played FG. Jye Gray was 20. Not sure why we are blocking player by having Doyle in a spine position.

Doyle gives me the impression of a player like Kalani Going that’s there as a leader and plays very much in the way CNK plays at fullback too I reckon. You’re right in what you say though

Yes we do The announcement that Tanah had signed a contract, before Metcalf lost his shit and asked to speak to management, I am 1 for the team not for your self Luke is going to find it very hard to line up with his ex team mates, Team first is what I believe in.
Dally Telegraph etc started reporting Metcalf requested the meeting on the 6th of May.

Tanah was signed after the Metcalf blow up.

I am not saying Tanah Boyd's priority in his decision to remain a Warrior was money, rather, that he and his agent were very well placed and very acutely aware of what was on the table.

Why would he accept the responsibility of lead play maker for less than a forward? or an insulting less than the bloke no longer wanted in that same role? that is all I am speaking to.

There were some rumours about DWZ too.
Where does he play next year? You'd think Warbrick & AKP are the wings? Or, Does AKP go back to cup? Could Dallin be our FB backup to Taine if CNK leaves and Dallin plays cup? Or even becomes our FB.

There's 5 spots & CNK, Tuaupiki, Anderson, Warbrick, AKP , Pompey, Leaitaua, DWZ & possibly Berry to fit in.

What a dilemma the club has to deal with next year.

It was quite funny after the “clarification” someone acceded the boyd extension to the media 😂

I worry that Ratcliffe is not a big guy, obviously young, although there are notably smaller fullbacks.

When I say I worry I mean his debut is probably further off rather than closer.

I hope we throw the bag at CHT. I don't think any junior would be able to fill those boots for a good couple of years, nor do i think anyone who is free on the market is comparable. If he leaves at the end of this year im unsure how we'd make up the difference next year and get the same/simliar results.

Im struggling to see Pomps and CNK fit in past 2027 tbh.

Were going to be blessed with a lot of depth next year, and while those players will struggle to get many games, it only takes 2 or 3 injuries and most teams would be fucked, where as we can bring in Pomps or CNK....I think thats going to be one of our strengths next year too

I have a feeling if the club want him he will stay, even 1 year is good to check how the juniors are tracking along, we did give him a 3 year contract after he quit the game. Mutual respect there. And Riccio was pretty spot on this year so..

Make sure you tell bangbros this too as it will calm him down.
Cht is part of the reason we're successful this season
