Fuck yeah we'd take Haas now. We've got a squad that could take us to a grandfinal. If we lose Barney it makes it a little harder. But, If we got Haas even just for this year. Our chances become a little higher.

Can you provide a URL to this list of best tackle efficiency centres SUP
I find this list difficult to believe for four reasons
1) The Raiders forum are convinced Timoko is a horrible defender
2) Stephen Crichton is missing from this list and he had 90.27% last year
3) Even Rocco is missing from the list - he played 12 games for 85.82% (which was a career low for him he is normally above 90%)
4) Nearly every centre I can think of had a better tackle efficiency rate than Timoko last year e.g the famous Starford Toa was 90.00%

For me it's about making the best out of a unfortunate situation. Sounds like Barney may need to move asap to get the medical help his daughter needs that NZ can't provide. And if that's the case, Then I don't begrudge the man for putting family first and leaving this year if he has too. Sucks for us. Haas is one of, If not the best prop in the world. Even if we get him only for this year. That would offset the loss of Barney somewhat. I wouldn't mind it at all.

There is 0% chance Haas comes to Auckland regardless of the Barney situation.

I also am not sure where the immediate release for Barney has come from, that seems to have been inferred because we've heard rumours about getting Anderson early. I assume Barney will be here until the end of the season, he looks like he's on a mission after that first game and wants to make this season count.

Selfishly I prefer Roger not to play us This would be great for him and the super league, he can play 1 over there, get a longer and bigger deal you'd assume.
