Most interesting thing to me in that article was the suggestion (from the author, not the Warriors) that losing MGT could open up a spot for Kali to shift to centre.

Starting to think this forum might be the only place in Warriors fandom that appreciates a fast elusive winger.

Why are they grooming him as a centre when we have RTS moving on in a year and Dallin aging, and currenly 4 centres at the club (counting CNK as another)??

I know we'll be putting a lot into our juniors moving forward, but I can't remember the last year recruitment wise we haven't had some signing at this point in time.

Gannon, whilst an interesting prospect is still a relatively low level English import.

I don't think we've spent most of SJs money, and with Tohu retiring at the beginning of the year, and Dylan Walker moving on, along with who ever isn't resigned this year I thought we would have a good amount of money to bring in at least one or two mid level signings.

Are we hopeful we have anyone else coming for 2026 or is this largely our squad moving forward?

Gannon was talked about as the Walker replacement, but it’s usually when a teams season is done that you start hearing about releases and pick ups. They’ve said Bunty won’t be given another contract publicly and letting Kosi and MGT go feels like they could have an outside back lined up?

Whenever he played there at Cup level he looked the most dangerous I thought. Has a great offload and one arm carry. I remember watching a game where they needed to score in the last minute and the ball went straight to him off the kick off and he made the break and then a flick pass for the Warriors to score. I think he is far more creative than just a workhorse on the wing.

Zerotackle is not the most reliable source. They copy other websites/Tweets and produce their own articles based on other facts. They have no inside knowledge and have been proven wrong many times. I wouldn't read into their opinions too much.

I don't think the club see's Kayliss as a centre to be honest, or IOT. Both haven't played there in NSW cup all year, so hard to see them being viable NRL centres. Kayliss makes more sense to be centre, due to his size and speed.

EIT was given some time in the trial against storm at centre, but hasn’t played there again

Hmmm nah i think he is a prop in my opinion. Just needs to tighten up his game and master the fundamentals

You have to be able to do more than run lines to be an elite edge player (which is part of the evolution Laban need to hone in on if wants to stay in the second row and not get overtaken by Kayliss etc. Great hole runner and aerial threat, never in my life seen him throw a decent pass or put his center into space.)
That's my point, props are rarely called on to throw passes or do the stuff second rowers do. He is in a spot where he doesn't shine as much as he could. I have no doubt he can pass, and has more to his game. He is a former union number 8, see his highlights his talent is wasted in my opinion as a prop.

I feel like the forum is mixed on fast backs even though it’s something we sorely need to compete with the elite
