Capper makes TT look like the road runner, his lack of speed is a real concern to me. He had big wraps but clearly has some big issues as he can't hold the centre position. Others may differ. Mason Barber has a similar looking step but the pace and power to push through.

Mason Barber good shout, we should try get him over as our long term full back

Happy to sign someone for the 2028 season to replace Barnett if those 3 havent had enough experience or have not progressed as expected. Ford (or less likely Barnett due to age) could re-sign as well.
I just don't see where a 2026/27 prop signing fits. If your 30 game estimate is realistic under my model, then it would be even less if we signed another experienced prop expecting game time.

2026
JFH
Barnett
Ford
Vaimauga
TSS
Niukore
Bunty

2027
JFH
Barnett
Ford
Vaimauga
TSS
Crosby/Durbin
Bunty

That progression is only assuming 1 debutant prop per year.
We have Salalilo as well would rank him above Durbin

Maybe it's a big call, but I really see Mason Barber with the potential to be a super star. Almost blend of Ponga and Campbell for the Titans. (I don't want to say Inglis as that would be over hyping him potentially). I would be all in on him and think it would be worth throwing him a massive contract, even overs. Dream signing that one. Metcalf, Leka, Barber, on long term deals and big coin would be a very good starting place for securing the future.

Was just coming in to bring this up. Webby has proven himself to be able to get the best out of players, I’m definitely intrigued by the possibility but Dom Young just seems lazy
Don’t know about lazy. He does seem to get rattled sometimes maybe lack of confidence. But I’d get him here for sure.
Just one example, when Tauapiki caught that kick at the end of the game he was stuck on a treadmill. If Dom catches that he runs the length of the field. That kind of speed will be huge for us.
And we’d finally have a player capable of stopping a try after the opps make a lime break

What club is he at, and why isn't he been close to being picked by that club? You guys are making him out to be like Reece Walsh was at that young age.

I mean if he's that good then there is no way a club is letting that kid go early right?

And on top of that you would have to offer a starting spot at our club.

We can lure him if for 50% freight, Andrew Webster is the man to relaunch a career, outside backs seem to be pulling hammies every other week

Edit: OMG Andrew Webster is now an official link to Webster's page lol
Considering that he has probably already been paid half his salary for this year, if there was some freight involved as well, he would be a steal and totally worth the gamble.

Looking at what Webby's tried to instill these last 3 years, I don't see Dom Young being a good fit.

We're defence orientated, and try to grind teams down and capitlise on their mistakes.
We've already got Dallin who struggles defensively on one wing, I think we'd have to change our strategy moving forward if we had Young and DWZ on each wing, they would have to be some of the worst defensive wingers in recent memory surely? Opposition teams would target both flanks, with great success I reckon.

Would b pretty sweet seeing Metcalf and Young run around tho, that would answer our speed issues

You’re totally right about Young’s defensive flaws but surely you could work on that.
Hes an attacking weapon that oozes class on attack.
Fucken Roosters again, sign long term contracts then just turn around and publicise they want him gone.
Just like May.
I hope Young stays and gets that huge pay day in Reggies.
