Apparently there have been 6 or so (kiwi?) players asking to come to the Warriors in the last 12 months, but they haven't worked out due to the salary cap.
Also expects a couple of calls after this news of players who could be available, even from ones that he doesn't currently know are available.

CG always with this sort of hyperbole. The phones ringing hot.
Surely it's bluster.

Hopefully he stays. He’s under contract anyway.

I like Tuaapiki and think he is better than CNK, but I don’t think he pushes into title contention. It’s the most important position, so would rather splash out with this unused cash.
You reckon if TMM isn’t extended that Tuaupiki could become a good 6? Showed he’s pretty versatile adapting to wing, though caught out a few times on defence, but understandable with even the best doing similar

I disagree and from Cam George’s comment so does he.

Taine could be a franchise FB, Cobbo would do what Aussies do and leave.

Fair enough. I don’t see it but stranger things have happened.

Don’t really see him ever being a top 7 or 8 fullback in the game.

But in saying that, if we didn’t sign anyone I would be more than happy running him as our first choice fullback next year
We really can’t afford to lose any spine players because we are 3-4 years off having development players ready.

That’s why I’m big on Cobbo at wing. Mercenary contract short and sweet, maybe the same for a big boppa off the bench.

Some of you are acting like your last GF broke up with you on compassionate grounds.

We only got AFB to start with because of it, JFH, CNK too.

If we started basing recruitment on "We don't want them to leave early" then we wouldn't have Egan, Barnett etc.

Most of the guys we released early were released because we were happy with letting them go because they weren't in our plans.
Making an influential player like Dylan stay against his wishes can have terrible consequences for the rest of the squad.
Best to part on reasonable terms and call it quits

While it is good to let player leave and move back to Australia when they have to for family reasons. When they leave at this stage of the seasons it leave the club in a position where you usually can't replace them until next season.
Dylan Walker is rumoured to be on $700k a season. The seasons about 40% through based on contracts start November 1st. So we have payed him around $280k for the 117 minutes of footy he has given us. I would of thought it would

I would of thought it would be best to say you can go in 7 months time when your contact is up. That way we don't give the advantage to Parra. Also what if Erin Clark gets injured this weekend we could do with keeping Dylan. 7 months goes by in no time.
