Interesting that they’ve gradually extended his minutes over the weeks where he played 72 minutes against the bulldogs and 80 minutes against the dragons
I think it’s out of desperation. I’m hoping he’s either back to middle rotation or splits the role 50/30 with leka off the bench. He’s really offering nothing & a burden to our salary cap

He would one of a couple that I wouldn’t be surprised to see the club say you can leave now if you find something and won’t be extended past 2026. Coming back from injury, I wonder if this is a big period for Berry? If he picks up another injury, I wouldn’t be surprised to see him in a similar situation

I’d like to think he would’ve played majority off the bench in 2025 if it hadn’t been for all the injuries. That’s where he was when we were at full strength. In that regard he’s probably been quite valuable but ultimately he’s a liability on the edge & every team is targeting our right edge with a high success rate. Until we sort that edge we will continue to leak points

When I look at his stats, that looks his most value in that he often stays healthy and plays a majority of games. Hasn’t really offered what he did at eels from 2020 on with Papali’i, who also hasn’t been the player he was at that period
