I can see you have been applying your mind to this. i read a lot into your posts so as I say i have no questions. But noted your follow up comment that Kalyn may be on the move "somewhere". I find it hard to believe he would cross the ditch when he must have so many friends and support system in the NewCastle / Sydney area and would think a Sydney club would interest him more than us. He does seem very discerning about where he will play though as, like I said, he rejected a Wayne Bennet offer to play a le Dolphin two years ago. He would have rejected them as he figured they weren't going to be a contender. He, if he is leaving New Castle per your logic thought sequence you outlined will be going to someone who he thinks can win it all. And I don't really see the Warriors as leading that parade. If there was a sales pitch behind closed doors of us to him it would have been based on who we have coming through as juniors and even then we don't lead the parade as teams like Rooster seem to have an endless supply of star youngsters.
I don't buy the narrative he would come to NZ because of his roots It he came here it would because Cam George convinced him we can win it all with him.
