Someone can correct me and fill in the dates.

But my understanding it is 28 players by a specific date (I saw March 1st for a 2021 article). Then later in the year by certain dates it goes up to 29 and 30.

So I'd assume it needs to be 28 players by the start of the season.
ChatGPT says this

the Warriors can carry 28 or 27 players if they wish up until the June 30 deadline. NRL clubs are only required to have a minimum of 24 players in their Top 30 roster before the season starts (usually by early March). However, by June 30, they must have at least 29 players signed, with the 30th spot optional.

This flexibility allows teams to manage their salary cap, leave room for mid-season signings, or make adjustments based on injuries and form.

Monday prior to round one we must have 28 players.

I’ll continue on my crusade …
Kosi is not up to 1st grade standard and should just play NSW cup or be released to SL.
There is no need for Lussick in this squad. Healey and Egan are above him with back up from the likes of CHT, Boyd, Clark, Walker and some of the young guns.
Can we release both and look for some outside back coverage?
