His name is bound to come up at some point, so I will bit the bullet and the risk of being haunted by Geepee..

How much is Ice and Stefano on? If they were each between 600-700k, would it be that big of a leap to get both for 1.1? The Tigers are certainly a team that would be crazy enough to consider a deal like that.

8. Utoikamanu
9. Egan
10. Niukore/Barnett
11. Ford
12. Papali’i/Niukore
13. Harris
15. Barnett/Papali’i

Doesn’t really fit the whole idea of us sending Curran packing to blood some new edge players but.

Stefano might be a player like Schuster as well, where he is actually somehow on 950k and no one noticed lol
I really do think he would be the best option for us if everyone’s keen. If AFB was ok with going to the Tigers that would show it’s all true. If he will only go to a top 4 team then it gets fishy

If AFB did leave Sydney cause of gang issues. Judging by the hideous gold Versace shirt he was wearing at the awards, he’s still very much about that life. I have only ever seen bikies wearing that shit.
Yeah doenst strike me as having found redemption.
If he was lip dropping about the SJ love that sucks and will be good to get that out of the dressing room. To be fair though I was getting pissed off at the media and felt sorry for SJ by the end of the season. He kept trying to divert attention back to the team but the media wouldn’t have it.
The big men never get the love. Tale as old as time. Look at the never ending drama in NFL at linemen going unrecognised.

Stepping away from the cliff edge for a bit, we haven’t been this attractive as a potential club to join for a long time. Hopefully that resonates with a few players
Unfortunately the step back from the cliff is into a pit full of venomous snakes. This is literally the worst thing that could have happened to the club. So fucked, it’s gonna take ages to get over this 🤮

Triple M pulling the ‘Warriors only got him on compassionate grounds so they can’t really block him leaving on the same grounds’ card, reckon Dragons are in the best position $ wise, yet bulldogs keep getting mentioned- how can they still have money?

I’m very optimistic. He’s a huge loss for sure but in 2021 he wasn’t the same player even with another big front rower in lodge. Webster got this form out of him and another coach might struggle to. As it shows with the Tongan team he’s apart of, a great forward pack goes some of the way but without a decent spine it’s a tough battle. He’s still putting up impressive numbers for Tonga but they’re not getting the results.

He’s a massive loss and basically irreplaceable because we aren’t going to be able to get anyone of that calibre in return.

Swaps are nice in theory but the player in return has to want to come here which usually means more coin than they are on now.

Papalii might be a chance in a swap if he wants to come home but it’s pretty dire if you look at all the other clubs who might sign AFB and what they could offer in return.

Would hope if a Kiwi player ever wanted to return home that the same compassionate grounds would be offered to them. We were pretty obliging when Tony Rudolph backflipped on his deal citing compassionate grounds too.

Unless we get a decent (or in his case 2 decent props) in return, I’d be saying to him… you ain’t going anywhere Pal.

Woild love us to make a stand and stop bending over every time someone decides they want to go back to Aussie. If he drops his bundle, put him in fricken reserve grade!!

We gotta build a team of players that want to be in nz. It’s a shame but you can’t really hold AFB back I don’t think. Although depends on the situation….he did seem a bit off towards the end of the year. Would love to see Papallii back at the warriors. Potential leadership there….not sure who else wants to come back?

Want someone to commit 100% to the jersey to the club, he was known to be bit wavy, look at how he played for the kiwis and then changed to Tonga, at Manly and then asked to leave on whatever grounds, that should tell you about his character, prefer commitment rather than talent, tell you the truth would rather have Bunty than afb, I know Bunty will die for the jersey. wahz 4eva!
