Recent discussions focus on the surprising team selection of Kosi and Bunty, with many questioning Kosi's inclusion due to perceived poor performance in the NSW cup, as mentioned by Barzak #101. Noitall #102 pointed out Kosi's past struggles on the left side, raising concerns about his pairing with Pompey. Despite reservations, some are hoping for a turnaround, with Milking!^105 and Zarjaz #103 expressing support. Concerns were also raised about the team's structure, especially in light of Dylan Walker's departure, with some suggesting alternative lineup changes.
The sudden departure of Dylan Walker has been a major talking point, Inruin #71 highlighting his integral role in the team's attack. Several posters like Sydneywarrior92 #48 suggested potential replacements and adjustments to the team's structure. There is a split in opinions on whether to disrupt the current halves pairing, TMM Te Maire Martin and CHT Chanel Harris-Tavita, with some suggesting TMM could fill Walker's role and others advocating for stability in the halves, as mentioned by Makasene #46 Garry Saloon #39. Various options for Walker's replacement have been discussed, including Laban, Halasima, and Healey.
Earlier in the discussion, the focus was on the team's overall strategy for the upcoming game against the Tigers. Wahs_Ultras #5 suggested moving Ali to the left edge to exploit the Tigers' perceived weaker right side. Participants such as Tohu’s_Knees #13 emphasized the importance of handling the Tigers' strong forward pack and shutting down key players like Luai and Galvin. There were discussions around the team's backline changes and the potential impact of reshuffling the combinations, as mentioned by Wrighty #9. Some, like Boats n Hoes #14, highlighted the importance of defensive efforts and forward pack dominance for securing a win. Warriorshopeful #81 posted stats showing similarities between the Warriors and Tigers.
All is not lost - let's wait for CCes to confirm he had stats and everything to back up his theory. He’s on the left![]()
His horror shows have always been on the left side, & unless they decide on switching Tuaupiki's side, he'll be there next to Pompey.
Looks like it’ll be 1W-5L after tomorrowHis horror shows have always been on the left side, & unless they decide on switching Tuaupiki's side, he'll be there next to Pompey.
After the Roosters game last season I worked out that, as a pairing on the left, Pompey/Kosi were 0W-5L & the team aggregate was 72-195! Not 100% but think they been next to each other in a NRL game since
The Warriors are ahead on the one upmanship.
Breakout of first grade for good.FK it. I'm predicting THIS one WILL be Eds breakout game.
(although… was the last time we saw a Pomps/Kosi partnership the Titans blowout where they basically stood still as Titans players ran around them)
Opposite sides that day. Last time next to each other we gave the Roosters at 26 point head start(although… was the last time we saw a Pomps/Kosi partnership the Titans blowout where they basically stood still as Titans players ran around them)
