Our forwards are tough. Barnett fish and Clark are mean. That last 10 they just bosses the tigers who aren’t a small pack. They weren’t going to make metres up the middle. Also impressed with them getting in the face of the tigers when they suplexed Barnett and that pest Luai. No backwards steps and I can’t wait to see them touch up big Nelson in a couple of weeks. Grit and determination….

Guys don’t seem to appreciate how tough that win was.

In the rain, against one of the NRLs twin favourites at their home ground, with a ref who let the Tigers away with plenty.
agree, some of refs calls a bit puzzling - chances and egans no tries- really!!! called it too early, never mind all good now, thank God we won, I would have a had a bad 2-3 days.

Before the game I commented in one of the other threads about ex players commentating their old team.

...........And tonight we got Blocker.

He wasn't as bad as he has been in the past. He was commenting for the home town audience.

He didn't like we had players standing in the defensive line. This week everyone was saying how it's ok to stand there and pretend to be the ref. It's just gamesmanship.

He's been complaining for years about our players getting up complaining about being hit in the head. They should be off for an HIA. One of their players does it and he's oh well play on. Then to rub it after years of his complaining. Getting some time for the Bunker to look at it. That wins us the game. Justified penalty though.

Did our best to lose it

Did our best to win it

A narrative last year was we could not win close games. A very important improvement in the team to arrest that.

Bye is coming at a good time. I think we will be cannon fodder for the Storm...
We have a great forward pack. Egan is playing an equal to Harry. Our half's need to combine a bit better but they will have one down as well in the half's. The poet is a great defender. Perfer a strong defence.
