Look at where Webster and the Crap team Got us, 6th spot imagine what a near full strength team will acheive.
Crap team was too hard and a great effort to get into the top 8, however we shouldn’t be content with just finishing 6th now that we’ve come so far.
Do you think this team is good enough to get us our 1st NRL premiership?
Yep, the side misses Barnett and Metcalf. Good news - a heap of good young guys are coming through . There are still areas that they’ve not addressed - lack of speed, solid back up in certain areas, having the ability to change game plan …
In saying that I’ll be there on Saturday as I’ve done since 1995 to cheer on the team !!

Fish has been all talk about him being the alpha in the team, and has been largely underwhelming throughout the regular season. It's about time we get a statement game out of him. I'm tipping him and Jacko for 170m+. Will be absolutely crucial for us to be any chance of a win on saturday, as we got demolished in the forwards when we played them earlier in the season.

Thought this was an interesting discussion on the knights forum asking if our fans are tougher than theirs on their players with some criticisms pasted on from a forum. I can’t see it because it’s all grainy but it’s obviously about JFH and they talk about how they’d have him in a heartbeat. Really hope he puts in a big shift because we’re going to need it

When you think you could possibly add Metcalf, Barnett, Tohu Harris, and Dylan Walker to that side you realise how far under the cap we are sitting on game day. Would be nice to have those guys and one extra quality outside back out there. Then I think you would be sitting in a competitive spot.

Exactly the team expected, Webby doesnt do surprises unless forced.

If they come out firing, limit the errors and the officials give us a fair run we might jag an historic victory but alot has to go right.

We need to put Penrith off their game and not let Chin dictate terms. There are not unbeatable but are firing at the right time.

For me the keys are Fish, Egan, RTS and Boyd. Fish and Egan probably have a bit of a point to prove, they are experienced and quality when on song. Boyd as he needs to step up a level as the guiding half, and RTS to be given some space to shine.

AND Leka, Demi and EIT to have the games of their young careers.

The rest we pretty much know what we are getting. Do your jobs and do them well.

Everyone has us written off, nothing to lose boys. And a chance to write something pretty special in the Warriors history book.

And if we lose, make it a mighty fight to remember.
Love the post. This team has over acheive with often 5 or 6 key players. Or in some games more.

Due to injuries Webby is limited to what he can do and the inclusion of TMM on tje bench is logical. It is a role he has filled on well. I dont expect any late changes as and CNK is our fullback and his experience in big games counts.

If they play at there best they can beat Penrith who do look beatable this year.

With regards to higher achievements I really do think it's going to come down to how we develop talent in our junior grades.
About half of our fully fit team is probably good enough and might just be about filling the remaining gaps to a suitable standard.

im just hoping that we dont get whipped lol

There is absolutely no way they play 80mins of defense with Capewell and DZW out wide.

There is no points in that team. They are not playing to win.
They are playing not to lose.

That is the way it looks. It means the only way we can win is if we restrict Penrith to 2 or 3 tries and jag a few ourselves through bombs or some Leka magic.

DWZ will probably let in 1-2 tries on his own. Hopefully he scores one or two himself. The Penrith backs could cut Capewell to shreds too if we are not careful.

I feel like we need to throw something at Penrith (at certain points during the game) to beat them and it's going to be tough with the team we selected. You can't play scared to lose in the finals. That team we have selected is going for the grind and I am not saying it won't work but it will be tough.

I had actually forgotten about Tohu and Walker too. Pretty mad that at the beginning of the year we had all those guys, plus Rocco and Ali in our top 17.
Every team struggles with injuries, but to have 2 of your players playing almost 0 games, 2 centres play 16 games out of a total 54, and your best two players in Metcalf and Barney only playing half a comp each, to finish top 6 is pretty amazing really.

Our right side is the weakest link. Logically Penrith attacks that point continuously until the predictable happens….
