I think Te Maire would be a really good hooker.
Most of his touches have been at DH when we are deep in our half returning the ball. If you look at the receives split between SJ and TMM it was something like 50(TMM) and 70(SJ). Most of TMMs receives were at DH rather than as a 5/8.

Roger had 8 tackle breaks, game high by a margin. Most of his tackle breaks were when he pulled infield rather than staying on the left. Saw him roving around midfield a few times especially near the end of the game. Feel like shoving him to one side of the field is something hes still coming to grips with especially when that side is being so ignored. He would be a great Walker/CHT off the bench if we didnt have those players already.

Yes, general play passes ave per game SJ 28 TMM 11 Metcalf 10

Possessions ave SJ 63 TMM 34 LM 33

There’s a good player in there somewhere in tmm
He was terrific for Bris from fb in 22
And didn’t he go ok in 23 for us till injured
Has he got injuries holding him back
He has got room for lots of improvement
His defence has been good

Came back too early last season, by necessity. His leg hadn't healed completely/properly. Webster said they rebuilt him over the off season. Looks like he is going ok, perhaps lacking in a little confidence, but that try against South's looked good. Not back to how he was at the start of last season but early days. Hopefully we see that left edge attack develop further in the coming weeks. Stats wise he is putting up similar or better numbers than LM and you can see the potential improvement still to come.

Feel for Metcalf. Horrible injury and the recovery time and regaining strength and confidence will take a while. Be surprised to see him back this season at 100%

Hard for anyone coming back from major injuries.
Would like to see tmm helping out SJ with the attacking directions of the team
Needs to take pressure off Shaun who is also struggling with injuries

I am a TMM fan and haven’t given up on him

He hasn’t repaid that in the last few weeks but

1. Capable defender
2. Not afraid to take the line on
3. Silky pass

His reads, timing and decision making looks alittle off and his kicking has always been suspect but I still have him over CHT
Whoever is playing 6 needs to be helping out SJ with the direction of the team.

My memories pretty shit but were we repeating the exact same final tackle kick option everytime in games last season. Bomb deep to the right for the player and berry chasing and waiting for the opposition player to land and tackle him. That Disruptor rule has ruined the attacking teams ability to compete for the high balls. 1 of our player's (I think Capewell) jumped for the ball and rightfully pulled out to avoid injury and didn't really have the timing right on the jump and got penalized.

Yes we were

The bulk of halves tackles are edge backrowers on a short flat ball or an unders to try get a quick ptb.

We'll just have to agree to disagree.
OK Big edge backrowers then. They aint little guys. Why do you think Ponga only lasted a few games at 6 & then straight back to FB?
