Alis trial form has made the centre spot a Hard choice between him and Charnze I reckon, but I’m keeping the faith in Ali because of his X factor and upside. And hope A calming Roger outside him can shore up that side on D.

Somehow Tanah Boyd has sold me on his one trial game against the Dolphins, or maybe there’s just no one else lol. Let’s hope he can build off that form.

Marata or Tanner is a hard choice or maybe it isn’t if Tanner builds on his trial form, a bench spot will definitely be his, looks like he’s come on leaps and bounds from last season

Fish To lock, Clark to prop.

Lastly I don’t think we should stack the 18 and 19 spot with the next best up players, let them get reps in cup, also keep cycling those 2 spots around

he was bashing the Vegas spectacle on the last episode I watched as nothing more than a cash grab. He should come to Vegas one of these days for the event before he has the temerity to deny the success of the event- yawnion generally has nothing like it.
Cash grab. This is the first year it will turn a profit. Even if it was selling out and making money from year one it is the same as NZ Rugby putting on All Blacks games in the States to generate income and spread their brand.

On NewsTalk ZB on Mondays they have a few sport journalists on. I remember the last few years one in particular being critical of the Vegas venture. Critical of the crowds and the U.S TV ratings. He made it seem like a waste of time. Also seemed like he didn't undertstand the impact it is having in terms of kicking off the competition and generating headlines. This Monday will be interesting.

I haven't minded Devlin's NRL coverage. Although I'm not a regular watcher. It depends on the guests. His producer has some weird takes sometimes.

I'd expect his coverage to increase this week as the Warriors are due to kick off their season. I can understand the discussion on the All Blacks coach. He would need be following what is attracting the audience.

his producer is a broncos supporter. Can't stand kiwis who don't back the wahs. Devlin isn't a leaguie which is fine. But he always brings on Kempy who has some of the worst takes when it comes to us and the NRL more generally.

Kempy is just lucky that Browny over took him for worst Warriors coach ever.

I saw Devlin had Zane Matsumoto on a few weeks ago. That was interesting. It seems Zane has a few high profile contacts. It makes me wonder why he never started a channel unto recently.

might be because he has a hectic job in Japan from what I remember. Really says something about league media, both traditional and podcasts, that his work is probably the most insightful source of info about us.

Yeah. Cashgrab. Neither rugby nor league is going to take off in the US. They're trying though - bringing in the bunker is an obvious copy of American pro sports. Changing rules all the time.

Yeah I don’t really know why “this rule change means players will miss out on valuable reserve grade” gets brought up so often on podcasts etc, only if your naming the same guys every week, let player #19 be a rotating cast of rookies, it’s pretty unlikely they are going to get on. Player #18 has to be a real backs option, but does a Taine even need to play reserve grade, he’s too good for that level. Same with Boyd or TMM, they just do whatever they want in that grade

Except for Centre (Ali or?) and maybe second row (Laban vs Niukore) and a couple of bench spots, the team is pretty much sorted

1. CNK
2. DWZ
3. Pompey
4 Ali
5. RTS
6. CHT
7. Boyd
8. JFH
9. Egan
10. Ford
11. Laban
12. Capewell
13. Clark

14. Sam Healey
15. Demetric
16. Halasima
17. Niukore
I’d love to see Webby throw TSS in there for Ford. Both played well in the trials.
