Team List Storm v Warriors - [Round 6, 2025]

What is everyone's favorite storm warriors moment? Mine is Xavier Coates scoring in the corner last year on the buzzer!...........(not!)

Hard to go past SJ turning Proctor inside out for the GF! But also Michael Luck setting the trend for future 13s to pass to Maloney for that try. Just priceless!

this game for me is a close second behind what you mentioned

I was at Mt Smart for our last win against them

Watching as we scored late and everyone around us saying, did Nathan Friend just do a fucking back flip.

Good times.

I swear that back flip messed with the universe somehow. Can't believe we haven't beaten them since

There was that one where we were robbed, think it was Klein? Tohu played 6 and Papali’i gave away a penalty from marker right at the end and they kicked a penalty and won

@BangBro's (still banging) there is some serious nostalgia about your question.

I have a very fond early memory in 2001 (12 years old). I used to stay with my grandparents a lot, big time leaguies.

We had to win or draw with Melbourne in the final game of the season to make the finals for the first time. I can't remember the exact lead we had but it seemed reasonably comfortable until Melbourne came back late.

In the end, Matt Geyer had a kick from the sideline to win them the game and we would miss the finals. He missed, the game ended 24-24 and we squeaked into 8th spot.

My Pop couldn't watch the kick then told us all he knew he would miss!!!! yea right!

Bro is was so going to post that game! I remember watching that with my old man. We have had some bangers over the years, even games we've lost.

This run must end now!

I remember Ali offloading like crazy setting up a big lead, forgot how it ended lol, just knew we made it

My other favorites are “put the ball down son!” SJ dummy for Brown try and Monty crossing to take the lead after Coates coughed up the ball in that famous game last year

Went and had a look after seeing the last post regarding nsw cup. People were mentioning Jason Salalilo impressing in preseason, good to see him come onto the bench. See Felix Faatili on their bench, he and his brother were highly regarded. Healey will want to get one over his former club Newtown
I was sure Caius Faatili was going to end up in the NRL, he was dominant as a teenager playing for the Canterbury Bulls. I was a bit gutted when he went to Aus instead of the Warriors, but good to see he's got a gig in Superleague now. Felix is handy too but not convinced he'll exceed Cup level.

I like the four forward bench for this game because we can't let Melbourne dominate the ruck. Manly got blown away because their huge middles were constantly being left on the ground by the faster, more fitter Melbourne forwards. Our starting pack is more mobile than Manly, but having middles like Bunty and Ford coming off the bench with their fast ptb speeds alongside the explosiveness of Demetric/Leka gives us the ability to dictate the ruck speed, like we have in the previous games.
