Most year in our history wins away from home have been pretty much like gold. Last year they managed to maintain the same level of performance home or away. You could argue they were better on the road.

When they got the mistakes out of them tonight it looked a lot like last year. Hopefully that continues.

This is a tough competition. Next week won't be easy by any means. If we play like tonight hopefully they can get their season underway.

I know a lot of people are going to be really upset right now. But fuck what a game. Really, really good game of footy. If we won that I would say out all time greatest game

Be proud of the boys
Yep for sure super proud of the boys....BUT end of the day that just extends the losing streak 2014!!! last time we won in MELD and extends the suffering for us fans that have watched every fucking loss in MELB and those cheating fuckers yet again rumb are noses when they never should have could well be another 10yrs till we get that close again... that last set with 2mins to go "give away penalties" who cares just stop them scoring ..but no ... that bitched us good back to back trys

No that is not played at, played at means striking out with arms or legs, getting the ball booted into you is not playing at the ball.

We were plain and simply robbed out of this game.

But most of us bar Inruin knew it would be the case before kick off so nothing new under the sun.

Okay, my take is that "not played at" is when you are passive, like it ricocheting off you in the line. I'm not sure I would call Barnett passive.

But, I have never read the rule book on this so more than willing to be called out as wrong.

Mate that dive by Coates was the fifference
Absolutely freakish
Storm had a bit of Irish luck

The team were a bit off in the first half
That was fixed at half time
Good contributions by the whole 17
Special mention to Taine
And good contributions by our back ups Walker Bunty and Tom
I couldn’t fault anyone maybe Luke could offer a tad more at 6
Rts was good in the second
Berry was a rock
Wingers tick
Forwards good afb great
Capewell looked quiet but I wasn’t watching his defence and off the ball stuff

I m not disappointed just beaten by one absolute freak try by Coates
Yeah I get that like I said it’s probably the hurt me talking just like how all of us are feeling but idk that last five minutes should’ve never happened, idc how desperate the Storm were if you wanna win these big games against top teams like them you have to dig deep and now they’ve lost when it mattered. That try from Papenhuyzen should’ve never happened and we wouldn’t be in that situation with Coates to begin with. Just pain
