Good to see Fifita get a mention, can’t believe there are still idiots in the media suggesting maybe Hasler can finally unlock his potential! Seriously did they have their eyes closed last year, he was the top edge forward in the NRL.

What’s the stats based in where SJ, arguably the best player in the comp last year and leading a whole lot of individual stats, comes 38th?

The stats were based on averages over last 3 years not just last season.

6 of last years top 8 had youth (inexperience), seems like an asset… but then there was the Tigers

Surprising!! And yet the panthers and storm player have prob played more finals games then the rest put together

I’d rather see median games played rather than total as a gauge to squad experience. Might throw up a similar result however total or average games can be distorted by one or two players potentially.

Gotta question the year by year weighting of those rankings - for me, Tedesco didn't fall off a cliff last year only because he was already in a noticeable (though partial) decline during '22 - last year he just wasn't very good, making a lot of poor decisions because his game sense hadn't adjusted to the slower speed of his physical reactions. That was the amazing thing about SJs season last year, self-awareness can't be underestimated as a footy skill

It'll be interesting to see if this guy adjusts his points system & puts less weighting on Forced Drop Outs going forward
