Good to see there is interest in him. Being out for a year while not having a club would have been a worry. Unless his manager was working hard it could have been out of sight out of mind.

When he was here and playing NSW Cup and looked like he was being developed to play first grade I enjoyed watching him play.
I d love to see him come back but have seen nothing other than Nzw fans on this forum saying we d like him back
Is there any official or rumour linking Ronnie with Nzw?

What are peoples thoughts om re signing him. It seems likely his Manager caused the kerfuffle. Good Half with a good boot. We could do a lot worse.
His pathway seemed pretty blocked too didnt it? He was the understudy half last season yet when it came to crunch time when SJ had his Achilles issues late in the season for crunch games, Webster went for Walker.

Yes resign him. We need a 4th half,

Played 5 NRL games. Won 3 and lost 2.

Last time I checked, adding TMM, CHT. Metcalf and Volkman equals 4. Asi is the other possibility.
Let me take a deep dive into Asi's stats I will post shortly if I think he is a contender or a pretender.

When I watched Asi play this year he looked extremely compact and proficient.

His Stats were below average
Goal Kicking a woeful 56% from 30 attempts. This was his first year as a kicker and he only did it to be a team player after Moses was injured.
His brightest spot was positional kicking over 250 metres per game.. Sounds very useful.
4 try assists in 14 games did me in though and i stopped investigating any further.

I think the correct move is for the NRL clubs to bypass him and let him go to Super League as is rumoured. There are no clubs linked to wanting him. He is 25 years old.
I realise Volkman isn't much better though - More willing to give him a shot at 22 years old for his higher cieling which no one knows yet.

I like the guy & if he was SJ's understudy this year I'd probably still be high on him for 2025 but with what has occured & our mix of halves I wouldn't be chasing him. He may have a 3W-2L record but one of those wins was in our homecoming against the hapless Tigers & in another he was hooked after 65 mins where we came back against the Sharks late

He's a halfback where most of our other dudes are 6's. Does that sway you?
