I have a question about Berry that may be abke to be answered by people here with gym weight training knowledge.

Could his hamstring issues be in part due to a wrong weight training schedule causing a sort of imbalance in his leg muscles in his running style. Of the squad he is noticeably a longer strider
Think that's just his size making his stride longer, he's about the biggest at the club height-wise isn't he? Tallest back anyway.

He's 6' 3" and 95 kg so is no weakling. Can't remember if he has had hammy trouble in past years or is this the first? His shoulder or neck which I assume was nerve damage put him out for a long time
As was mentioned in other posts, he's always there or there about wherever the ball is on the right side. One of those player who is deceptively quick maybe. The stride might make it so.

Really intrigues me when Webby has won so may games with his selections that a lot of the newbies on here keep dissing players like Berry who has been awesome on attack and defence. Just watch the last game and see who is always the first to arrive after a long kick and who was the only support player to support Luke when he scored and all other breaks down his side.
Ease up newbies support Webby and his selection, we are in third place which is unknown territory at this point in the season for the mighty Wahs. Otherwise Far Cough.

Me and dad watched the policeman play in the Canterbury max game in the 90s and that cop became the best express bowler in this country we have ever seen ❤️
I watched Bondy over several years at Lancaster Park before he was on the NZ radar. He had an amazing second half to his career (it is insane to be able to swing the ball both ways at pace). What makes it different to the Berry, Benry and Roache stories is that he was in his late 20s before he was regularly playing for NZ and by then wear and tear was taking its toll. A fast bowler's peak is 26-29, and some of the absolute greats in the game declined rapidly at the end of this range.

I'm not convinced Berry is anything but unlucky at this point. I don't think he is in the same 'made of glass' category as Roache.

Tall outside backs, Trell, Turbo and co. always suffer multiple hamstring issues.
You’d think the sport scientists would work out their workloads by now.

Ali is that same build/physique, where a guy like Timoko is very reliable. It’s sad as Rocco has some much potential and always looks on song and the. Injury always strikes.

Met him twice in Newcastle, when they have visited, one of the nice guys too.

Don't be too harsh on the apparent "newbies". Some are probably aware it's not actually unknown territory.

Credit where credit is due for Berry. He played well in his 60 minutes last weekend & doesn't deserve the hate he receives by a particular podcast, but he was far from awesome against the Storm & Knights which makes up roughly 60% of his minutes this season. That said, he's a work in progress with some good traits which can't be taught

2018 is a good ladder to look at. There was huge movement in the second half of the season, and only one of those teams were in the top four by the end with two of them limping in at 7 & 8.

It is how I think this season might pan out too. I'm expecting change. Though picking who will surge is a tough one as teams have looked pretty average.

Weird season that one, 2 competition points separated 1st and 8th at the end of the regular season (something to stoke the whole points differential debate that's been going on here lately 😆 ). Then I think there might have been a bit of a gulf between 8th and 9th as well?

What podcast is that so I can forever avoid it!
