You never done “fuck off wanker” shoves before?

And where is buzz hiding??? behind a trash can probably
After travelling the world, hell no. Seen a guy get shot in the face for trying to open a door in a mild road rage incident in the states.

Seen 2 pointless stabbings on 2 continents, one over dirty shoes and one after a push and shove like this.

Plus if you were around Queenstown back in the day, you might remember Mark Smithy who got into a mild punch up at a taxi stand, over nothing and got hit, fell over hit his head in the curb and died.

It’s extreme but unless I’m willing to lose my life or take theirs, I laugh and walk away. Every. Single. Time.

Storm in tea cup obviously, clearly baited, shoved the guy and told him to fuck off. Shouldn't have touched him for sure. I don't know how they suspend him, surely a fine and warning is enough. Whatever, move on.
Has it been reported Agar was baited? Or are you meaning the hangover from an article written in 2022?

I totally agree

and i dont condone violence

the situation you have described didnt sound like a safe environment. Best to bite your lip and not provoke or poke the bear

its not the same here..... thats not a bear hes poking but what like to me a drunk journal looking for a story...

That’s the worst part about this outcome, is it’s so predictable.

Most journalists are nothing but click bait hacks. He was probably looking for a reaction and Agar willingly obliged.

I put it in the same camp as the Manly player acting like a pelican.

Watch the video. The journo keeps following Agar, even after the shove.

Not really the action of someone who’s uncomfortable in that situation.
Might have been appropriate for the nrl to ban the journalist for a couple of games from attending their fixtures if he’s looking to cause trouble. Not that I know anything about the situation other than what’s written, and haven’t viewed the footage but sounds a bit like Agar’s account of the altercation is what happened for the club and CG to back him

If there was ever a time to give him a "fuck off wanker" warning shove, that was the time to do it
He didnt do it with other people around (except buzz hiding in the trash can)
Its just unfortunate there was a camera to filming......

I blame the Lefties.

If your not wearing a ski mask, it’s never the right time.

Without weighing in - I'll weigh in... the first reports said this happened in the press box - clearly it's in a connecting area, so journo followed Agar out, on the way back to the changing rooms or the coaches box, right?

Harassing him, trying to get a quote, coincidentally going in the same direction? You’d have to ask Agar or Davidson I guess.

This is my point
We live in a world today where any form of aggression is punishable allowing this sort of behaviour to go unchecked. I guess it gives rise to the “keyboard warriors” because people believe there will be no consequences associated with the words they use. That needs to change. You provoke someone be prepared to get a punch in the face to make you think twice next time

Most likely yes.

But he laid hands on him.

This was an easy one for the NRL. Suspend half the fine, miss a couple of games, dust the hands and move on.

This is the article in question. Its behind the patreon paywall.

Shortly after that article(24-48 hours), Agar resigned. Must have really got to Agar.

Anyway ChatGPT is able to provide a summary of the article without providing the actual article but its as follows:
Here’s a concise summary of the key points from John Davidson’s 2022 article titled “The rudderless Leeds Rhinos and Gary’s golden touch”:

Key Points:

  • Critical of Richard Agar:
Davidson explicitly argued that Leeds Rhinos had become “rudderless” under Agar’s coaching. He noted persistent poor performances and suggested that Agar was unable to inspire or effectively manage the squad.
  • Poor Team Performance:
Leeds Rhinos experienced a particularly weak start to the 2022 Super League season, prompting Davidson’s criticism. He described their performances as “painful to watch” and lacking in cohesion, discipline, and strategy.
  • Need for Leadership Change:
Davidson urged the club's management, particularly Gary Hetherington, to take decisive action by removing Agar. He believed Leeds required new direction and fresh ideas from a different coaching approach to rejuvenate the team.
  • Accountability Beyond the Coach:
While primarily focused on Agar, Davidson also highlighted broader leadership issues within the club. He implied that CEO Gary Hetherington’s previous successes had led to complacency and that it was now crucial for management to acknowledge problems and act swiftly to address them.
  • Immediate Consequences:
Not long after the article was published, Richard Agar stepped down from his role in March 2022, confirming the urgency and relevance of Davidson’s critique at the time.

Overall, Davidson’s piece was a strong call-to-action directed at Leeds Rhinos’ management, emphasizing the necessity of a coaching change to halt the club’s declining performance.
