I think a decade of RL is catching up with him ala Tohu. He made the decision to return home while under a long term injury, gets injured again, then straight into a serious head knock.

Got to feel for the big fella, recovery is so much harder the older you get
Injuries are always a factor and Barney has a bit of history that will distract from his performance going forward
I hold the same fears for Mets also
Definitely speed is usually the first indication

I thought TT was brilliant offensively last night and looked great under the high ball.

However, and I don't know if anyone else would agree, I think we look better defensively co-ordinated when Charnze plays. Whether that's down to him, or just better familiarity and trust, I don't know.

It's a hard pick each week and I think it really comes down to who we are playing against and what we will need there.
Charnze at fullback but perhaps not centre

Great game, we came away with two points despite the Phins tactics and poor officiating.
Watching crowd shots on YouTube, the Phins in many instances were only back 8 metres which caused Boyd to make hasty decisions.
Their forward pack are monsters but didn't have the fitness to keep up with our pack but they certainly bullied us in the first 20 minutes.
Ford had an outstanding game along with Roger who despite being shifted to a new position has really fixed that left side.
The young guys will be better off after that game realising that true hardened professionals can niggle you and put them off their game.
I give them an "E" for Effort.

I think AKP is doing really well, but boy I wish he was there for the line breaks.

That Ford line break was a sure fire try if Lofi had gone up with him.

Also, how funny was Ford last night? Bro was out to conquer the world. Needs to come back down to earth, a little 🤣

Demitric is the one I’m watching on more and more impressed each week. Last year was Halasima’s year and I think this one could be Demitric’s. That first hit up from half time was explosive and the scary thing is he’s smiling, he loves it

Excuse me if someone has already pointed this out but Tanah Boyd was robbed of his clutch moment.

Game on the line, do or die, championship minutes, scores tied, Boyd makes the conversion for his first game winner while the Bunker and Camera's wank on about the Fleggler incident.

Talk about robbed of his moment.

You did it Tanah, you got the big kick bro, now no one can say you can't win a clutch game with a tricky corner kick.

Yeah Inruin made the point last night. Good on him

I was a bit perplexed by the final play at the time where DWZ was penalised for backchat, was that our ball and then overturned when DWZ spoke up?

He's consistent.

He was good last year as well. Added a lot to our attack with his offloads. I suspect that is emphasised on the opposition tip cheats this year.

For years we have had a drop off when the starting middles have been replaced. Recently whether it is Vaumauga, Stowers-Smith or Barnett we have still been strong on the middle.

I think there was a knock on which would have been ruled Dolpnins ball.

DWZ was arguing to get it changed. No challenges left and a lot of players earlier in the game approaching the ref (he was telling Dolphins to back off or wait until there is a break earlier) probably meant he had enough.

That is how I read it.

The big wins have been nice to see.

These wins when you aren't at your best are when you need to find a way to win.

The Dolphins came to play and didn't go away.

We came back from a deficiet and got the win.

Two competition points collected.
agree, thought we played with a lot of grit and determination, they tried to scare us with their brutal defense, we didn't back down, so proud of the lads across the board, actually saw Tana Boyd take a few hit-up's to help the team, team effort, really thought we would lose this game due to how the fins looked so dynamic, but we stuck to our game plan. I have so much more confidence now, previous teams would've lost this game, all I can say they are courageous, went into battle and not found wanting

Agree, thought we played a very gritty no back down game of footy, fins definitely came with a game plan and tried to intimidate us with brutal defense, not one of the boys backed down, everyone contributed to me tana boyd played with guts and mana, he my hero, ran it up from dummy half and took about 2 hit-ups cos there was no one there, the whole team was courageous, well deserved win.
