What a boring game. Crowd barely made any noise. Wouldn't have known it was a sold out game. Team did there best to in the last 10 mins to lose the game with poor discipline.

On the positive our defence was much better in the 2nd half. First time the Dolphins have been kept scoreless in the 2nd half this season. We played poorly and still found a way to win. A good trait to have.
The atmosphere at the game was electric, crowd was incredible to be part of i thought.

So, we’re getting the spoon then?
Points diffrence shows we still deserve the spot we have. Just saying that it's a bit early to call 2025's close games a flash in the pan. When our halves are on, and most importantly our pack is laying the best platform in the game. Then we can go toe to toe with anyone. But it's gonna be close.

Aye! No need to jynx it. We have only really played bottom tier teams and won. Roosters round 1 (when was the last time they have ever won a 1st round), 14th raiders, 9th knights (without ponga, sharpe and brown), 14th storm, 13th titans and now a still pretty good 12th placed dolphins. I can foresee some close games as we battle it out with the fellow top 8 teams.
Tigers/sharks certainly had are number how much of that was a Metcalf issue ?? we will find out when we get a team in form ...EELS won't be easy ...but should put them away ..Broncos after the bye ..will be a tougher match... panther round 13 ...could be where we get found out ..if we don't fix some of the issues

I dunno what has happened to Leka but he looks frustrated and is producing some really poor stuff. He'd given away 3 penalties inside the first 17 mins, one of which cost us a try. Starting from the bench next week may be the go.

Ugly win, but 2 points is 2 points. Phins looked like they were going to pile it on in that first half and I'm amazed we held them scoreless for so long.

Some of the Refs calls were just baffling to be honest couldn't understand it especially the delay,
The Dolphins came to play they were up in our face.
Tane from the stands does an immense amount of work great communication he may have missed a tackle but he did play well.

Moved to the right

On the train home from the game, the crowd was Rowdy. Got a reaction from the Phins boys when Fleger was sent to the bin lots of back and forth between the players and our corner 😂

Being at the game though, was a worry to see how many linebreaks the boys made with no support.

I guess a win is a win but that was tighter then it needed too be.

Should have instant sub bring metcalf on when we made a break 😂

Was it anywhere near as pretty as our other 5 wins? Of course not. But we were up against a top 4 quality side in the phins who the riff only beat by 1. They were desperate and this was probably one of their best performances if you consider their whole season. They threw everything at us as if their season was on the line. That loss is going to be costly for them as they are probably going to struggle to just make the 8 now.

Our attacking shape in the first half looked great. As for the 2nd half, we clearly had a gameplan to tire them out through the middle which did work in the end. Jacko Ford 202m, JFH 164m, Erin 178m. Compare to the Phins starting middle: Gilbert (106m), Plath (61m), Molo (97m). We outran by over 200m and controlled 55% of the ball at the end of the game.

As for our backs, AKP again had great moments in attack. But I think we found out why the tits threw AKP under the bus- he can be a bit suspect in defense. Still thought he worked hard and was busy carrying our sets. Special mention to Taine as well- monster effort with 200+m tonight and the match winning try.

Onwards and upwards to parra. 7-2 before the bye is perfect prep for magic round v Broncs.
