It’s HOW we lost.

No defensive intensity.
Lack of direction.
Poor rotations.
Strange coaching decisions.
Some experienced players not standing up.
Giving minimal mins to our youth.

We didn’t even look like winning. That’s the issue.
Spot on with all those points.

I really can’t wait to watch how we go the next few weeks because if nothing changes, a lot of the doomsday predictions will be hard to talk down.

Or maybe we just really shit the bed, how we tend to do on major occasions.

I’m not overly optimistic but we’ll see.

Wow this sticking the boot in from the media and here is insane. You know we lost SJ, AFB and Tohu (all top 5 in their position). Our first game without them was on a massive unprecedented stage. Round 1, jesus!
To your point..we know we lost these guys plus Montoya and Jazz..what I'm cross about is the way we've gone about replacing them. Taking the halves combinations for instance..Selecting CHT and Metcalf on hope alone , and thinking it's a solution was insulting to the fan base.
There's just no star quality in the spine now!
We're in the deep shit.

Not saying he is a star but I actually think Chanel was one of our best in that game on my rewatch today.

I get what you're all saying. 1) all fingerers are pointing to AW for recruitment, game plan and bench selection and use 2) giving us all hope in 2023 that he was our saviour, that all we needed was the right coach - his secret sauce, the secret ingredient, that was all we needed since 1995 was Andrew Webster (his man management and his rugby league IQ and we would start winning!!! i BELIEVED!!!! ok lets be reasonable and put on our man brains on, now, think logically, what is the missing ingredient, we just don't have the cattle to do the job, as everyone so rightly points out developing players from lower grades is a must and recruiting the right players to our club 3) of course AW is going to shape his team to reflect his time at Penrith, Ivan had a hard time trying to get the team he wanted and it took years before he got the winning formulae. so...I think Webby needs time in the saddle first to recruit who he really wants in his squad, time for to develop players from lower grade etc we have to think long term here, no matter who coaches the warriors (bellyache, clint eastwood etc) they wont get wins right off the bat, 223 was an anomaly, this is reality, Webby needs time, don't forget, think with your man-brain, not joking, did I really think in 1995 the warriors would actually win enough games (in the toughest competition in the whole world) and make the top 8 or 4??? yes I did (dumbass). Andrew Webster is a baby as a coach in the nrl compared to all the other coaches. I am no longer immature (debatable) , of course he will make mistakes and we'll lose some games, got to ask yourself is this due to the coach or the players. apologies for the long rant, can't wait for round2 as the saying goes up the wahs!

Watch those fingerer pointers. They’ve often got stink fingers

Also can people turn down the social media bullshit?

Nothing worse than all the connected and together bullshit and then go get your arsed licked!

Who in-between now and the next game, wants to see CNK pumping up and saying let's go!

Mate have a look at yourself in the mirror!
He's playing in the wrong position as was obvious last year - right centre would suit him better

No we just need
The forgotten man
For 30 minutes
Bunty

Seriously just another wtf selection policy from the coaches.

Played 21 out of 27 round robin games in 2023. Averaged 30mins and 0.5 missed tackles per game and 0.1 errors.

He did not feature in the finals and played only 9 times last year (I do recall an injury layoff).

He's being kept out by Ford who averages 2.6 missed tackles per game.

I ve said before AW favours his Aussie boys
People were talking bout them chasing Hazelton
Bunty not able to do the job?
Aw?
Sure he can on my book

Competed, should have had another try assist, appeared to take a bigger role with LM completely missing for a lot of the game.

Certainly wasn't perfect with some defensive misses and not engaging the line at times before passing but was a long way from our worst performers.
