NRL Podcasts

Don't understand the appeal of Graham. He doesn't have any original insights and is as articulate as a toddler. Other than having a few cracking yarns here and there with a couple of ex-players (which we get from all the other podcasts too), it's a real slog getting through his episodes. He really doesn't bring anything to the table that other podcasts don't.
The one series on his channel I did enjoy was the episodes he had with Seibold, Rothfield and the Panthers CEO.

Some interesting topics and some different points of view. The best insights were probably from Seibold and the Pathers CEO.

I did make room for a few cracking yarns. But other than those, the rest of his schtick is to regurgitate rugby league turning pts in an accent that even poms have difficulty understanding.

Grahams podcast is a glorified Bulldogs/Dragons/England fan pod to be honest, it’s better when they have the round table eps. There’s not a lot of league content at the moment so it’s getting a bit of a listen till the rest come back

One podcast I don’t often see mentioned that I tend to enjoy is Rugby League Outlaws. They are insufferable Sharks fans some of the time, but are genuinely funny and the presentation is very professional.

I sometimes rage watch Jimmy Graham's podcast sometimes when I am bored. He just made the ridiculous statement that Tigers are closer to a premiership than us on his recent pod. Like what is he smoking.

He actually said we were-just. But he thought long and hard about it and it was almost reluctantly.
The segment (they do the same on Triple M) is they make a statement and then the panel believe it or not’.

They just spin the same old cliches that similar Sydney centric media does year after year eg.
Picking the Tigers and Eels as top 8 certainties.
Over rate the Bulldogs
Act like the dolphins are a massive success (despite results not backing that up)
Under rate the Raiders
Pick us for bottom 4.

He also massively over rates everything England- thought he was going to rage quit the pod when the other guy picked Samoa and Tonga over England for the World Cup semis and said the PAC champs was of a better standard than the ashes

James Graham had a episode for every clubs pie chard for this season. Or something like that.

I was expecting a gaphical pie chart. Didn't see any graphics. Just seemed like the normal waffle.

One thing that could improve some of the Podcasts like Levels Network is graphics. Or showing videos etc on screen. Last year at times they were showing each other videos on their phones.

I mean it shouldn't even be a hard choice. We've made finals twice out of the last 3 years, 2 of which we have been a top 4 side for pretty much the whole year. We've also got the far superior rugby league nursery- 2 straight Harold Matts Champs, NSW cup and State champions last year and have made the top 4 in NSW cup every year since Webby has been here.

Pretty sure tigers were bottom 8 in all the lower grades. They also couldn't crack the top 8 last year even after poaching a quarter of the 2021-2023 Penrith premiership winning sides. I know we're all biased here as Wahs fans. But there really isn't a leg to stand on to argue that wests are closer to a premiership window than us.

Say a stat the other day- it’s been 5000 days since the Tigers won 5 in a row, and what 15 years now since they made the top 8?
I don’t buy too much into it we just aren’t in the mind of most Australian NRL fans
