good episode. Normally it's just videos of him eating crazy amounts of food after a game.

My general rule of thumb for these conversational-type podcasts, is whether I’d be happy / keen to have a beer or a coffee with them
Haha I won’t provide my conclusionso would you?
they give off a bad vibe....
a tunnel vision, road rage type vibe...
Do any of you listen regularly to hello sport? Only listened to a few of their podcasts but they really do get on my nerve. Typical one-eyed manly supporters who have so much hate for the wahs. Even had a go at us in their last podcast. I get that our fanbase, like any others, has rabid elements that can go a bit crazy sometimes online. But to call us all "sad" is a bit rich.

We've beaten 9 different teams this year- that's half the comp. It's pretty ridiculous for them to be suggesting that half the comp are bad, given how tight and open it is this year. It's also a bit rich given that many of these teams they suggest are poor quality are teams that have actually beaten Manly this year. So their perspective just comes off as bitter that we are doing better than Manly. I'd also point out that most of our wins on our hot streak have been on the road (we've only played at mt smart twice since rd 3). That includes 4 games in Aussie out of our last 5, all of which we have won. That's pretty incredible when you consider how many of the poorly performing teams this year have had their schedule front loaded with home games (ie Manly, Broncos, Dragons, etc).Yes, you can make an argument about the quality of some of our opposition.
However, you also need to look at what the expectations were for the Warriors coming out of 2024 and coming into this season.
Also with the opposition it depends on when you played them. Their recent form, their injuries, your injuries. A fighter can have big names on their resume but fought them past their prime or lost to a few but took them on before they were ready.
Manly were coming off a big win. They have fell off a bit since then
The Roosters were coming off a good win against the Panthers. No one knew the Panthers were going to fall off the way they have.
Souths put 30 on us. Not a premiership threat. The Storm have had 42, 31 put on them. The Raiders 40, 30, 28. The Broncos 42, 44. Should we right them off?
I know for the above they pointed out Souths and the quality of the opposition. The above points most of those games those sides lost. Those teams are the other teams currently in the top 4.
They're the worst, those hello sport podcasters - they think riffs are repeating what the last guy said four times until they think of the next word : 'cognitively challenged' are a couple of words i would suggestI fucking hate Manly!
Yeah he explained that so wellGreat insight as always SJ.
Really hope all the "why the fuck doesnt Dal just stay on his man" edge defence experts (which there are plenty on the match day forum) watch this.Great insight as always SJ.
