I thought if Samoa just play eighty minutes defence they win.

The Kiwis were no chance of scoring when Samoa prioritized their efforts around defending.

Eighty minutes of that and Samoa will beat anyone without needing miracle plays..

Interestingly the Kiwis came out in the second half with crushing defence, then Samoa replied in kind, at that point Samoa were winning the arm wrestle over all for the bulk of the test.

Extend that effort in tackling and Samoa will dominate, they have the size to win the too and fro....the yardage game....and they have the flair to get points, scoring shouldn't be their focus.
 
Great game to watch live, great atmosphere.
Kiwis came home with a wet sail but looked a little directionless at times and relied a bit too much on individual plays. Was a bit worried we hadn’t shown up, and particularly when Samoa went close to scoring at the start of the second half I thought we were done.
Samoas defence was immense that first half- although pushing the boundaries a bit , but I wonder if that sapped them a bit by the end of the match?
Luai is just a dirty POS was hoping he’d get his own but not to be

Our forwards and two half’s won us the game.

Webster will already know what he wants to do. He watches all the games obviously.
It may well be a favor to the Warriors that CNK was picked at Center in the first place.

Smart if that is the case, it ensures CNK has to buy into doing his best in the position for the flag.

His service never dropped away but he was running on fumes just before he was subbed.

Haas was the best forward out there despite being on the losing team. We had to put a prop or lock to spot tackle him each time as none of our backs could handle him and our second rowers had their hands full.

Such a great match to watch. Samoa couldn't stay with the kiwis for 80 minutes but look out when they get crichton and Hamiso next year. Next years world cup will be the greatest ever.
